I feel like they’re way more powerful now, like Reach beta level. Or maybe everyone’s using the explosives perk now because Doubles is an absolute nade fest these days.

Explosives perk is negligible. Seriously its a waste of a slot in your loadout

Anyone know how much the Explosives perk actually boosts your explosives by and reduce damage received? In percentage, preferably.

I know what you mean, it’s not only a ‘problem’ in Doubles. Grenades have a tactical value and are because of that thrown a lot.
That’s the problem in nearly every game were you can use them.
As of now, the grenades in Halo 4 are just perfect.

Agree, grenade spamming is really annoying. I think you should start with only one grenade. 1 plasma grenade, 1 frag grenade, 1 pulse grenade (without grenadier perk)
This will reduce suicide grenade users, reduce grenade spam, increase the time for vehicles to survive (there’s already a lot of anti-vehicle on BTB maps).

If the grenades are prefect then why is it that very few people use the pulse grenades.

This issue has nothing to do with the grenade itself. The Pulse grenade is a very specific grenade. It requires precision and skill.
In terms of power the pulse grenade is ranking second, after the Plasma grenade.
You can rip an enemy off their shields instantly when he got caught in the first (or second) implosion. A headshot following is an easy kill.
Alternatively you can shoot the enemy first, or melee him, and throw the pulse then=instant kill.
Most people just don’t know how to use it right, that’s why they not use it (and because throwing a frag randomly or sticking people right before death is easier).
And the other thing is, you have only one Pulse grenade in your loadout. Strange thing, but understandable for me.
I use Pulse grenades often, with the grenadier perk.
I feel like the Frag Grenade might have some sort of buff to it…

Yes, like I did mention, nothing did get buffed in any way on any grenades. We would know that, it would have been in the bulletins.
No it didnt get buffed. The person was probably using explosive as a tactical package.
Grenades did not receive a buff
Movement speed may be the culprit here as people are moving into throwing range quicker

Does it really matter? That’s not the point of this thread, so let’s not derail it, shall we?
To comment on the topic at hand, I don’t believe grenades were changed at all in the balance tuning, nor have I really noticed much of a difference while playing. To be fair, I haven’t been able to put in much playtime since the update, but maybe it has something to do with the changed movement speed?
