So here I am. (Or was) just after getting the new forge. Trying to make a close ranged and dare I say unique map on paralax
Now I’m from the old PC DAYS when you auto saved all the time and I still do
I save my new map every buildin . Hell I’ll save just for the hell of it
I’m 90% done and have to quit
And I go to play it and it goes back to 50%. A part that took me 55+ mins to make gone.
Why?
This happened to me the other day, and I think I know why. I’m sure you’ve seen the “retrieving data” message where you don’t see your REQ points and can’t open any packs 'cause they’re loading right? I was in forge and I noticed when I hit quick save nothing came up bottom left of the screen like it usually does to let you know it saved. Did this a bunch of times and no notification so I quit out of forge and had a look at the store and got the “retrieving data” message, went beck in and had lost a pile of work. So I figured if you are in forge and don’t get the “saved” message you prob lost connection to the server for a sec or it was retrieving data so what ever you do it wont save. Now I just check to make sure I get the notification when I save, if I don’t get it I quit out, accept I lost a little work and go back in. It’s only happened to me a couple of times but this seems to fix it. Hope that helps 
never seen this, but wait for the save message before leaving.
