Just wondering cos i know several people getting high plat or low diamond placings who are now onyx 1850 champions and who i have had to beat as fellow diamonds at the time to get to onyx. I myself got plat 4 but have now got to onyx 1500 (havent played since reaching it!) fairly easily despite regularly playing players who are now champs. Surely an onyx player for 3 seasons now should not place that low?
Any ideas on this? Are they trying to reduce the number of ffa onyx players? Or are they trying to reduce the number of onyx 1700 players playing 10 games and never playing again? Or could itjust be the randomness of division placements again?
Im assuming the same will happen to eventual diamond players etc due to this, maybe placing gold 1 initially? Seems a bit excessive
