Well, I’m not. I stopped playing after 2 weeks. I’m just here to advocate for the return to the mechanics that once made a great series.
If the leaks I saw of Infinite Forge are real, and you can do stuff like change Fragmentation to a snowy ice age, and change Bazaar to an apocalyptic burning hell, then Forge will be worth the wait, and POSSIBLY worth the money, if there’s microtransactions. It won’t be able to have all the Halo 3 and Reach customs we know and love, but creative map makers can at least design some phenomenal new Bungie era style maps, so we never have to play the trash matchmaking ever again, unless you are working on Battle Pass challenges. Forge comes in August though, if it isn’t delayed or bugged, so I recommend everyone go back to MCC, or try Destiny for the next 6+ months.
Yeah, it’s pretty messed up how fake 343 has become. I’m wondering when they are going to put our money where their mouth ran…
Nope, It’s just I care as much as 343 does, and that’s not saying much at all.
Let’s be honest 343 doesn’t even know how to handle their own game. They built a.love service but also built a UI that can’t handle a live service.
Make one change and they break 5 things. I have lost any Goodwill for 343.
They are just a meme now…
Alot of we need more time and we don’t know when keeps coming from them.
They went the free to play route because it gives them an excuse to have a poor game.
But even campaign feels empty soooo, yea Maybe perhaps someone else should handle the Halo franchise. Or better yet just kill it off. I think it’s ran it’s course
NEVER advocate for Microtransactions, especially in AAA games, they don’t bring any real benefit to the game.
Honestly the only goodwill I still have for 343 goes entirely to the 343 MCC development team. Those guys at least know what they are doing.
I will advocate for microtransactions in a complete game that already has everything that a previous title has. If they are selling something brand new that has not been in any of the games before, that’s different. Selling stuff that has already been in previous games for free is bull. If they wanted to create brand new armors and effects, new coatings and new Forge stuff, ON TOP OF the already established stuff we have had in the past, fine, that’s acceptable.
The issue is that they’re cutting out the core Halo basics and selling them back to us.
Instead of selling us a classic burger we can pay extra for toppings on, they’re just giving us the bottom bun, and we have to pay for the rest of the classic burger on top of the extras.
For real, Why are they selling default colors. The coatings that are for sale should not have been generic default solid colors.
We really should have had at LEAST Halo CE colors for free, but nope, they went and sold red, blue, pink, black, and white. Can’t even have the basic colors for free. I can’t even be a white armor Mark V.
We should have had basic colors at least for the 7 slots of a coating, then buying new coatings unlocks those 7 textured colors for those slots. That would suck too, but it would be a thousand times better than what we have now.
Completely right. I don’t really know what else to say on that.
They also mislead fans about the 152 reward. It’s depressing that I can’t trust the company these days.
as they say in game of thrones “words are wind”
We had to pay for white, that was one of the first coatings they sold
Sorry man. I understand.
I feel so bad for that guy, like he is basically the messenger and the responses he gives are ore made ones by PR.
The day he leaves is the day he will probably spill all the dirt on them
I know, I said that they sold white. They just sold it for Mark VII though. I can’t be a white Mark V like I use in Reach.
Hopefully. He should go back to Bungie if he still can. Working for 343 is not the hill to die on. You’ll bring a lot of bad stuff your way if you carry that flag. 343 has never been popular, but they’re at an all time low now.
Dude could you imagine how bad the Spaghetti code is for Halo Infinite.
When they said that they had trouble with the UI and that’s why they are having a hard time putting new Playlist I was like yup that’s it right there
They built this game around the concept of live service meaning it need to be constant updates and growable.
But they go and use a UI that’s not friendly to constant changes and updates. Like they seem to have sabatoged themselves with their own UI.
Idk I think if your designing a Live Service game you would think to ensure the basic UI is Live service game friendly.
I keep saying it, they should have made Slipspace backwards compatible to port most code and resources from Halo 5, or made the engine from scratch or Unreal Engine, so it would be as easy as possible to make instant updates and hotfixes. Now they need to spend months digging through a maze of spaghetti from 20 years of bugs, to fix one small issue.
Bungie scrapped Destiny 1 to make Destiny 2, for a similar reason. They wanted to rebuild the engine to be easier to work with. They can fix most bugs within a week, and rollback updates without affecting the players, if something goes wrong. 343 will never be able to do that. Every update will take months. Even the tiniest changes will be a climb up Mt Everest.
Unless theyre completely full of it.
But I see no logic in lying about it.
you got the timeline wrong
should be Beta > Still Beta
