Did everyone forget about Sketch's promised Slayer playlist update?

Dude could you imagine how bad the Spaghetti code is for Halo Infinite.

When they said that they had trouble with the UI and that’s why they are having a hard time putting new Playlist I was like yup that’s it right there

They built this game around the concept of live service meaning it need to be constant updates and growable.

But they go and use a UI that’s not friendly to constant changes and updates. Like they seem to have sabatoged themselves with their own UI.

Idk I think if your designing a Live Service game you would think to ensure the basic UI is Live service game friendly.

I keep saying it, they should have made Slipspace backwards compatible to port most code and resources from Halo 5, or made the engine from scratch or Unreal Engine, so it would be as easy as possible to make instant updates and hotfixes. Now they need to spend months digging through a maze of spaghetti from 20 years of bugs, to fix one small issue.

Bungie scrapped Destiny 1 to make Destiny 2, for a similar reason. They wanted to rebuild the engine to be easier to work with. They can fix most bugs within a week, and rollback updates without affecting the players, if something goes wrong. 343 will never be able to do that. Every update will take months. Even the tiniest changes will be a climb up Mt Everest.

Unless theyre completely full of it.
But I see no logic in lying about it.

you got the timeline wrong
should be Beta > Still Beta

Betas at least usually are stable. I’d argue we are in alpha. Beta stage is preparing to ship a final product. This game needed a few more years of work. I don’t understand what it is with modern games being shipped out completely busted and unfinished. It seems like every triple A company out there is doing it.

Elden Ring might be one of the most beautiful looking games I’ve seen in a long time, if it plays like the pictures look. The art direction is the polar opposite of Halo Infinite. Not a single picture of Elden Ring looked dull, lazy, or boring. Every picture looks insane. Every environment and every boss.

Halo Infinite is basically just Master Chief hikes across Canada.

You do know Bungie doesn’t actually have any of the OG Halo devs anymore right?

So? 343 doesn’t deserve OG Bungie devs if this is how they’re going to keep treating Halo. OG Bungie devs and real Halo fans shouldn’t be working for 343 at all. These games are disrespectful to the Bungie era games, even though I liked 4 and 5 multiplayer, the overall decisions for campaign, REQ packs, and customization in 5 were not good. The BTB is also disrespectful, with Infinite being the worst offender, and Halo 4 had flagnums. 343 cannot continue this tradition of poor decision making. Halo deserves better, but OG devs and real Halo fans also deserve better than 343 provides.

Besides the standing still locked in place in Attrition, Assault, Stockpile, hacking, etc, most of the gameplay is fine, but just everything else is painfully bad

The man is back, now armed with an extremely long pasta. I can’t help but chuckle. This must be alt account 23 by now.
I may never witness such retaliation in a forum again.
Absolute madlad. You don’t have to flood my topics though.

This is not the kind of attention I want to draw to a serious topic. Insane how quickly you keep making alts though. Really proves how lacking 343’s security is, not just in anticheat for hackers, but for the forums as well. People apparently can just keep making more alts I guess. Maybe you’re onto something with your wild conquest, if you do get 343 to actually focus more on their security.

You do realize it’s because 343 had OG Halo Devs and fans working for them that MCC went from being one of he worst Halo experiences of all time to the definitive Halo experience right? Honestly I get the dislike for the mainline 343 dev team as they seem to just let their ambition take control without an actual plan first, but even then that’s not the entirety of 343.

Honestly your posts come off as very “343 sucks and can never do anything good!” when in reality 343 has made quite a few good Halo games, 4 is a good Halo title despite how much the Halo community cries and tries to pretend it isn’t, and Halo 5’s multiplayer is insanely fun. Infinite though, is just bland compared to the other two.

I am quite aware that the ElDewrito modders and other fan game devs and modders joined 343 because of lawsuits or they were sick of how poorly MCC ran and fixed it for them. Doesn’t make 343 good company.

I actually liked Halo 4 customization, Spartan Ops, Forge, and Multiplayer a lot, even the armors and abilities, even the loadouts, because it felt like modded Reach (since it basically is modded Reach).

Didn’t like Flagnums. Didn’t like the crashing. Didn’t care for the story massive lore dump that made little sense. Didn’t like how purchased DLC maps and Ricochet had exclusive Gamerscore achievements you could only earn on those DLC maps and Ricochet, but everyone else in the lobby matchmaking had to ALSO have those maps and Ricochet, or else YOU NEVER GOT TO PLAY THEM.

I also liked Halo 5 multiplayer, helmets, weapons, vehicles, Forge, Warzone, and Thrusters.

Didn’t like the Campaign, hated customization being limited to full body suit and helmet, hated REQ Packs, hated RNG unlocks, hated Helioskrill being given away in REQ Packs, hated the grind to 152 that I never finished, hated how 343 disrespected players with the jank Watchdog coatings and HCS clone coatings

343 is great at making terrible decisions. Don’t care how you want to defend them. I want to like them, but they’ve been angering people for an entire decade now.

I’m not fully biased that “343 sucks and never does anything good”, because they’re pretty 50/50, where the gameplay and Forge might be solid, but everything else sucks or is unpopular. My only gripe with Bungie was how poorly balanced the weapons always were, and the cut content, but that was Microsoft’s fault for rushing them to release it early

"I’m happy to report that a Slayer playlist is officially locked and loaded for the update next week"

So…what’s ambiguous about this again?

Oh don’t get me wrong 343 and Microsoft are the absolute kings of bad decisions, I agree 100% but the fans who worked on MCC weren’t sick of MCC. Microsoft brought them in to fix it and paid them to do so. For every 10 bad decisions Microsoft and 343 make, there’s at least 1 or 2 good decisions that follow.

Nothing because you’ve clearly missed the context of what I was saying and intentionally missed the full of what was said in that statement which reads:

The first part which you have quoted is clearly not ambiguous and refers to the 4 Slayer game modes which were added on 14th December.

The ambiguous part is this as it doesn’t specify any dates or details so they can say they haven’t broken any promises just by releasing Attrition for a week or so:

i wish they’d bring ricochet back that mode was super fun

The pinnacle of Halo esports imo, a combination of Grifball, football, basketball, and baseball, allowing for very interesting map designs and goal shapes, with a unique battle experience combining teamwork, passing the ball, and gravity hammer physics. Also liked hot potato volleyball. Loved Ricochet. Barely found anyone that had it though

Did it make you mad that it didnt come out? if it did, then his job/goal is done.

it should have its own playlist in mcc i run across it every now and then in H2A, but the map I remember having the most fun in it was H4’s adrift where if the other team wasn’t guarding carefully, you could throw the ball into a man cannon for easy points

-edit- Adrift was also probably the best 4v4 and CTF map in H4
