I think he mentioned that it would involve Cortana, I’m sure she will be there, but I don’t think he admitted it, just that she was involved in the story. They showed that when they showed the keychain thing.
Hopefully as a firefight voice, the hope being that firefight is in the game lol.

It’s a very safe assumption. People think that these people just rattle stuff off without knowing what they are talking about, but we have to remember that these voice actors, though not well versed in Halo canon, have drafts of the script and work alongside the other voice actors every day during production. He may or may not know all the details of the character or what role she’ll play, but there’s zero doubt that Cortana’s character is in this game in some capacity.
I think it may have been reflex, but I still also believe that Cortana will be in Halo 5 in some shape or form.
I can imagine Chief going through similar hallucinations as in Halo 3. Cortana and her voice can easily be a thing in flashbacks as well. She might have a role and affect indirectly the events (via John’s emotions) without being physically present.
Flashbacks and Halo don’t mix, if you ask me. But I can definitely see them having Cortana exist within John’s mind, as some sort of visual representation of his humanity and his dilemmas. Will she actually be there and “alive”? I really, really hope not.

Maybe just her voice? I can totally imagine her voice in a dramatic tone during the campaign as Chief’s mind starts dealing with his sorrow.

She can even appear visually, as long as Chief is the only one who sees her and hears her.
