What do you guys think? I’m kinda curious where most you stand. I’m in between “It was done for a good reason that we don’t yet understand” and “he was framed”.
I will say this again: I believe the delegation is far more sinister than what we thought it would usually be
He did it for some reason that will be unveiled either at the end of Hunt the Truth or during the Halo 5 campaign.
He has his reasons. People are saying it was because he new that the meeting was going to get ambushed. The thing I don’t get is how someone would be able to frame him. Where are they going to get a suit of armour like his? Has someone edited the video so people see the bad guy as chief? Maybe it isn’t chief I don’t know, but if it is, I think he has his reasons.
Something tells me chief was indeed involved at the incident, but remember! We’re ‘‘Hunting the truth’’ so we have yet to see the Whole Picture. My Moneys on Chief knowing about the corruption, and ONI wants to do anything they can to make it look like Chief’s the bad guy here.

I don’t understand ONI’s motives. They’re putting themselves in a pretty tight spot. Bringing Ben into the mix is what is going to expose them, and it seems like they’re desperately trying to make Chief a scapegoat.
Yet, if they’re framing Chief, and if it becomes known about them abducting children, then wouldn’t Chief going all psycho and killing civilians just pull the rug from underneath any possible “yeah, we abducted children, but they’re the reason you’re alive right now” argument if those same children are now killing civilians? Halsey used that argument. It’s all she has. I would assume ONI would do the same. Not “yeah, we abducted children, made them kill, and now they’re seeking revenge” … that just looks 100 times worse than “yeah, but he’s our savior, so … greater good and all that.”

But by whom? ONI hired Ben to create a story a Chief the Hero, not Chief the traitor. Is it the insurrectionists trying to make ONI look bad?

However, I don’t look at Chief as humanity’s savior, I view him as the GALAXY’s savior. He killed some humans, but he was originally meant to kill humans. Chief does what is best for the galaxy as a WHOLE, not just humanity.

If the Chief is the embodiment of the principle of the Mantle, then his concerns is, not just humankind, but all life.
I see ONI as a human-first sort of group.
This is why ONI and the Chief are going to clash.
