Or could their be some bits of proprietary code and features that Bungie would not let go of. Could this be the reason why File Share is not ready?
No, they had to hand over everything, 343i just left out the good parts, so they could build from the ground up, or atleast that what they told us. The file share is not up because the sub-contract, one of 20 hired to build the game failed to meet their deadline.
They have to hand over everything, Microsoft owned Halo the moment they owned Bungie.
Officially, yes. Unofficial, I say no way in heck they did. Halo 4 is too much of a cluster f for me not to believe Bungie withheld code. Either that or the programmers at 343 don’t understand how to utilize the code and that’s why we have the half -Yoink- product that is Halo 4. Ever hear the phrase of it ain’t broke don’t fix it?
> Ever hear the phrase of it ain’t broke don’t fix it?
Here’s a better one.
“Stagnation is death.”
Just because it wasnt “broken” doesnt mean we should halt any and all attempts to improve or make progress.
I mean hey, why did we invent blu-ray? HD DVD was just fine right? WHY FIX WHATS NOT BROKEN.
File Share was also passed on to 343.
The reason it isn’t available is due to technical difficulties that is keeping the feature from being available.

Yes, but I think they could have maybe found some middle ground instead of blowing up tried an true elements to the game. Anyone up for some Regicide?
They should have had a classic playlist from the get go. Let the players choose. options options options

I freakin’ love regicide.
Yeah, basic FFA is still better, but I’m perfectly happy with it.
Me and my friends play regicide together and it’s always a blast because we know have that element of “hey man im coming to get ya!”

Erm, Blu Ray came 1st lol. The draft/specs for BluRay were 1st to be submitted and also the 1st players were in stores well before HD-DVD. HD almost never made it due to members of the BluRay Assoc. kept saying no to it. But that’s going off-topic now
i want my bungie pro >:(
We can’t change our Reach nameplates now, guess they kept that.
Even if they have everything and all the resources, they don’t have the same people.
Nope. Bungie doesn’t own -Yoink- from Halo.
Everything should belong to 343i now.
Although I do question their motives for leaving out odst’s and brutes…

Bleh, you know what I mean.
343 received everything from Bungie, because Microsoft owns the IP.
The Reach file share works because 343 chose to keep it running.
The Reach name plates and Reach API do not work because 343 chose to not keep those running. Why? Who knows. They could have if they chose to. The only reason you can’t change your Reach name plate right now is because 343 arbitrarily and capriciously opted to not place a page on Waypoint to let let you change it. They have the ability to do so if they chose to.
You would think by now they would copy and paste the dang code that runs the Reach file share to make Halo 4’s work, but why? Even if everyone quits playing now, they still have our money.
I won’t buy another Halo game from 343. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Bungie releases Destiny this fall. Starting this year Bungie gets my money, not 343, Bungie never sold a game as horrible and half baked and broken as Halo 4 at release.

Halo 2 was the most broken game ever.
Modders
Sword cancelling
Super bouncing
bxr
bxb
breaking invisible barriers.
But i must agree with you, bungie will have my cash if destiny can grab my attention. 343i have lost my faith, unless they can fix halo 4 in a way that i get enjoyment from playing online.
