Could be ominous foreshadowing. Grunt Heavies with Incinerators? Jackal and Elite Rangers with Light Rifles and Jackal Snipers with Binary Rifles?
The thought has me cringing.

Nah Gek has standard blue Storm armor. Plus he never seems to wear a helmet.

I’ve actually seen that happen a few times, it’s just not very common at all.
Imagine a bunch of crawlers using incineration cannons… <.<

Yeah it does happen, just very rarely. Like 9/10 crawlers will use a suppressor and then 1 will use a light rifle. I saw 1 crawler in campaign using a binary rifle, not sure if that’s normal or if he’s the only one.

I hate when the crawlers have the binary rifle.
But which difficulty?!
As for the Light Rifle Crawler, that’s clearly a glitch. Either it was leftover from an experiment or it was poorly positioned (meaning future Crawlers will have built-in Light Rifles).

Well, i do know, most infantry classes appear in Normal and the higher classes appear in heroic and legendary. Crawlers with the LR, i think you see them in Heroic.
Well, technically, Promethean weapons are considered “sacred” by this faction of the Covenant who still believes in the Prophets. So the fact that they use Promethean weapons isn’t considered an heretic behaviour, I think.
That didn’t shock me and, to be honest, that brought me back some good memories from the Heretics in Firefight on Halo: Reach.
What is so unbelievable about an Elite holding a Scattershot? 
I just encountered an Elite using an scattershott in episode 7

There is a variant of the Crawler called the Crawler Sniper, standard loadout is indeed a Binary Rifle. It was probably one of those.

I think it’s more the surprise than anything, nobody was really expecting to go around a corner and run head on into an Elite with a non-Covenant weapon, especially a shotgun equivalent weapon.

I love how 343 throws in these random AI that are just different.
Elite Ranger with Active Camo and 2 weapons, Battlewagon with Incineration Cannon, Crawler with Light Rifle, and I think there was a Watcher on The Challenge that had a Binary Rifle.
I saw him too. He didn’t get a chance to shoot me though. He might have ran out of ammo and had to use a Scattershot.
