Did anyone notice the balance changes in this game

I noticed that rebels fire more accurate rockets at your warthogs, that Hunters are a bit stronger than from the original Halo Wars, also that Brute Squads take longer to train.

To me it seems that 343 made these changes to appeal to the casual base.

It’s possible they did change some things, but it doesn’t appear many people will notice this difference due to the small amount of players left. It seems many have jumped ship to HW2.

Well I noticed, and a few veteran players as well. >.>

Hrm. I haven’t noticed this. Interesting.

Really? Is this only in Definitive Edition or the original game too?

It’s only in DE.

I don’t really see the point in making those changes if they did.

How would those changes appeal to the casual user base?

It makes rushing a less viable strategy.

Kind of strange they did it. Probably won’t make enough difference to stop rushing and casual players probably don’t rush too much to begin with.

You’d expect them to leave it or make more efforts to balance it. I guess if they made bigger changes it might upset some people because they might only want a remaster and nothing else.

I played yesterday (achievement hunting) and noticed that the brutes you train from the base take a long time, and hunter actually worked pretty well for me. Maybe it’s just been so long since i’ve played the original Halo Wars

No.

Its just that they nerfed and buffed those units.

Did they also fix things like Arbiter running, and the Canister Shell multishots for Power Turret tanks?

Nope.

It lags way to much

Oh, so you mean Hunters are actually useable now after all these years, and Brute Chieftain rushing has been addressed as well? Now I have to play this again.

Brute squads are 100% the same production speed as the original.

I just tested it. They are not. Brutes take double the time to produce now, unless it is limited to skirmish or something. Am I missing something?

Yeah I just tried it again and yes you are right. They are the same as the original. I think I might have had the skull turned on in the original version out of habit without realizing.
