Did anyone find the skulls naturally?

Or is it mainly a case of, if you don’t look this up online there’s a decent chance you will never find it?

I have barely any skulls and am thinking of going back. Usually in past Halo games I’ve had to use a guide to find most of them.

If there are more obvious ones please tell me the levels so I can try searching for them first.

halo CE and 2 have some pretty obvious skulls if you just look around the map, halo 2 might require some more searching though especially outside of the campaign. Halo 3 can be a bit more difficult since some skulls require you to do specific things like not damaging any covenant in order to get them.

there’s 4 maps that I can think of that require you to do more than look around; The silent Cartographer, Delta halo, The storm, and floodgate

Thank you, but this is the Halo 5 board lol.

lol my bad

I did except the one where you need to shoot a phaeton then hit certain pylons.

In Halo 2 and Halo 3 I found most naturally. Maps that are kind of easy to found: Crows Nest, Sierra 117, The Covenent, Outskirts, High Charity

Like only 2 or something lmao

The rest is pretty much impossible without looking to a guide, there is a couple that only pop up in Legendary and one you have like 2 minutes to do some crap that the game never tells you, otherwise the skull don’t even appear and when it appears there are 3 possible places to it to appear, it is RNG. So yeah without a guide it is impossible to find the skulls.

Best to use a guide and save yourself a mound of frustration. There are a handful which require you to do things you may not ever consider doing on your own, eg., the Phaeton mentioned above.

This post is for H5.

Out of the Halo games that I have played, I have only found 2 skulls in Halo 3 without any information from external sources. Every other skull has been found with the help from external sources. When it comes to specific skulls, the skulls that I found without any external sources was the second skull in Sierra 117 and the first skull in The Covenant. On the other hand, I didn’t recognize that these skulls were a collectible or could be picked up which meant that the skulls got collected at much later point that when they where found.

Every other skull has been found with assistance from external sources like watching guides, playthroughs, speedruns or anything similar to that. As an example, I got information about the location for the skull in the mission Osiris and Blue Team by watching Nak3d Eli’s initial playthrough for these missions.

you should have specified halo 5 only

This is the Halo 5: Guardians forum dude.

The only skull that I found naturally was Blind on Outskirts (H2) and the first mission in Halo 3 dude.
