Did anyone else notice something about the AC Powerup?

You can run while staying invisible, unlike the current settings where you have to slow-run. I think this is a very good change.

Well this is ce gameplay we are talking about…

A good change, indeed.

Thank you, 343i.

That’s because for AC pick up, someone went and got it and it is activated once. Just like past games.

What else were you expecting? A one time pick up version of AC AA lol?

AC armour ability you can use an UNLIMITED amount of time so of course it needs adjusting.

Who the -Yoink- cares about AA’s anyways

has been like that from the first month of reach actually…

No it hasn’t. I remember testing it in customs about a week after Reach came out. It played pretty much like the AC AA. If you ran, you were visible.

I thought it was just the animation on your own screen was visible, but to others you were fully invisible.

I’m really not sure. But I guess the real question is: why was that even necessary to have on the Power-Up in the first place?

And I think my friends could still see me.

It is not a “change” GreenDragon, and as goobot said that is how it is in the campaign of CE/A. Expect it to remain the exact same in Multiplayer as it is now, where movement will expose you.

lolwut? It’s the same as it’s always been…

It actually isn’t a change. What happened is that someone played in customs a little after Halo Reach’s release and noticed that they made the Camo Powerup work by the AA by mistake and not the same as it did in Forge. In a MM update they changed all the gametypes in matchmaking so that it would work like it did in Forge. This tells us that the CEA Classic Gametypes are configured versions of the latest MM gametypes. The reason why it didn’t seem to work for you guys was because the gametype you were playing was made from one on the disk, where the mistake wasn’t fixed. You have to save one from your temporary history for customs for it to work properly.

I thought this change was brought to us when the original classic gametype was released, along with the new overshield that gave us flaming feet.

The only thing left really is the first-person active camo fix. It still appears you become visible when moving in first person, while in the third person you are safely invisible. It would be nice to have that little thing fixed.

They made it just like the old games, they had it in the old Team Classic playlist too, along with the overshield power-up.

In the beta yes. Not the full game.

sigh

On the first day reach came out, AC POWERUP would make you comepletely invisible to other people, no matter the speed. You would only appear more visible to yourself.

Not exactly true, when in Camo your body emits waves that bend the light around you thus slightly bending your surroundings, this slight but, for those with good eyes, noticeable change in surroundings would be easier to see while they are moving. But otherwise yeah, no change because of moving.

Actually, It was changed to that by Jeremiah before the release of Team Classic.

This isn’t actually true.
