Did anyone else get GOT by the photo in this update?

Am I the only one who saw the picture in this update and thought for a moment that it was the Arbiter and Chief after killing Truth in Halo 3? Is it maybe intentionally similar?

For me, the image just makes me imagine what a remaster of Halo 3 could look like in Infinite’s engine.

Almost definitely intentional.

Please 343 never do this. Dont get any ideas, nobody wants an H3 remake, especially in Infinites engine.

I’m curious why you’re so against it?

The game looks good but could see some major improvements, it is currently the oldest looking game in the series… a bit jarring going from H2A to Halo 3. I still love it, don’t get me wrong, but that’s why I would love to see it improved.

I’m completely fine with the idea of a Halo 3 “Anniversary”.
However, 343 should not be the ones responsible for it.

I’m for the idea, I’m against the implementers.

343 has proven over and over and over and over and over and over again that they are incapable of creating a good rendition of Halo, whether its new or “Anniversary”, without it AT BEST being a catastrophe for years and eventually semi-playable after the community (rightfully so) moves on.

They cannot design a good UI, when they redesign bad UIs they somehow make them worse, they cannot properly maintain playlists, there is seemingly no direction for development. The list goes on.

Fair enough!

I don’t really remember the rough launch of MCC that well, I might not have been an early adopter. Overall I’m fairly happy with Halo 2 Anniversary, but by god the entire game is not at all smooth on my xbox one x.

I consistently find myself jumping back to OG graphics when I’m playing H2A because the frame rate drops and texture pop in are so bad.

On that note, I STILL can’t play Halo 3 or Reach in MCC on my xbox one x without some major graphic issues, like rocks just never being rendered beyond a blur, or marines literally sitting in the passenger seat of my Falcon still not being rendered.

Maybe this would be the right time for another dev to step in while 343 is busy with Infinite and do an H3A. In my dream of dreams though, I would still love to see the cut content restored, if it could be done right.
