I was playing Halo 3 earlier, and it got me thinking. Where did the Brutes go after the war? Did they stay with the remaining Covenant, or did they return to their home world? I don’t really care about the Brutes very much, but I’d like to see the Brute Chieftain again, and the Gravity Hammer. What do you guys think about the Brutes, would you like to see them in Halo 4?
The Covenant, as it was (controlled by Prophets and all), broke apart. The Brutes had no one to tell them what to do anymore, so they started fighting Elites and messing with Forerunner tech, but they’re, you know, Brutes, so eventually they started fighting themselves. Some of them still serve Sangheili, and some even live in a human-alien colony on Venesia (did I spell that right?).
If we do see them, they’ll be under the control of the Sangheili. I doubt there’d be Chieftains, though. The Sangheili would no doubt be reluctant to give them anything more than a Spiker and a loincloth after what they did.
