Did 343i Change Achievement Requirements?

I got the achievement “Candy from a Baby” on Countdown. Its an achievement that came with the Defiant map pack. I was under the impression you had to achieve those achievements on the corresponding maps that shipped with them.

I believe that you only need to be on a defiant map to obtain the following DLC achievements (minus Anniv.); Don’t Touch That, All Alone and Paper Beats Rock.

If I remember correctly, I too got that achievement some time ago on Countdown.

Ah, that’s odd they would allow that one to be on any map… And it’s annoying trying to get the last achievements that require you to be on certain maps with so few who actually have them.

You can even do the other Defiants (NOT Don’t Touch That, All Alone and Paper Beats Rock.) on Custom games with the official modes. Noble map achievements work on all maps too.

I hate those achievements and that they’re can only be done on certain maps that don’t come out really sucks

Honestly, I’m a little surprised by this as well, but ever since I got them all I haven’t been surprised if the requirements would change. They are pretty difficult to get…

True that and almost impossible for the Flag achievement to do legitly…

The achievements from the first two map packs were never map specific and could be done on any map. One set of them could even be done in customs with the gametypes downloaded from the game. (As in, not the ones on the disc.)

Thanks everyone, one last question, I’m guessing I can’t do the ‘Emergency Room’ in customs can I? :frowning: I’ve played like 7 games of infection and pretty much gone through 14 different sets of map choices with only getting FORGE WORLD.

Nope. That’s one of the new achievements. Not only does it have to be done in LD, it also MUST be done on an Anniversary Map. :frowning:

Thanks… I may just try and get all my friends to do this one so we can all get the achievement. Maybe try and form a group here too. So much work lol.
