I started playing this afternoon and instantly noticed a silky smooth game. It was absolutely amazing. You US players can’t believe how much of a different game I was playing on these EU servers. This made me realize that I don’t think I’ve played more then 10 EU games in the past 5 weeks. Everything seems accelerated, Everything is spot on and the game is absolutely amazing.
I got this 8 games in a row. After that, an American player joined our fireteam and it was same old, same old. In the Dedicated servers EU thread there seems to be a lot of people that experience the same improvements.
I think that this deserves it’s own thread, since people should know about this. I -Yoink- on 343I a lot for a lot, but damn, if this keeps up, they’ve redeemed themselves a little for me. Do you guys experience the same thing, or was it just luck?
LMAO, You act as though EU players on US servers doen’t affect our game play at all. Lag goes both ways my European friend. It hasn’t been all peaches and cream for us either.
I do agree there have been a greater number of good lobbies over the past few days, not perfect, but better. I am really glad our EU friends are finally getting a chance to enjoy the game. I has been frustrating for everyone. It is nice to see how the game play is actually supposed to work. Happy Hunting !!

I get that man, I’ve destroyed US players on EU servers and felt bad about it, but American players have one of those once in a while. For us it’s the other way around. I would have no problem with 2/10 on US servers to be honest.
Sucks about Brazil man. Can’t they just give us a -Yoinking!- manual server selection already?

I am in the US and it is more like 2 good / 8 bad. Even when I get a good game they changed up the lobby after every game and I get screwed. Players took huge amounts of damage. Damage around corners or behind cover. I get more “from the grave” kills or “Draw” kills/ deaths than should be possible.
Seems to be getting better and they are still working on it. That is a good sign. Enjoy!!

Because I watch a lot of the pro players stream, and they seem fine for the most part. Of course can’t speak for American players, so sorry if I am wrong in this.
No it’s the same as always. Some people have been experiencing better games in placement matches for some reason, probably due to not playing opponents at their skill level or some weird server placement issue with placement games.
Nothing’s changed but hopefully something will come soon, they said they’d announce it.

Exactly what happened to me good games whilst getting a rank but back to normal when I did but like I said on another thread it was about 8pm UK time when I’d got rank (somehow it’s gold 2 but that’s another story for a different thread)

Yes, it gives the person with the lowest ping time an advantage. You see us and shoot, we don’t know we’re being shot for an extra 200ms.
Happy to hear you experienced H5 as it is meant to be. I’m from Canada, and barring some laggy anomalies here and there, my connection is basically butter smooth 99% of the time. It feels like I’m playing on LAN lol. Glad 343 are making improvements to other regions.
Yeah i noticed that too (i’m european) but the cost of this improvement is longer search times (in BTB this problem is horrendous).
Why they cannot build an hybrid system???
I’m in North America and it has gotten much worse since the update. Way way way more instances of teleporting laggy players in games. I’d say it went from 1/20 to 1/3.
Personally, matchmaking has never been worse in Halo 5. Since the update I find it near impossible to find matches at all in certain playlists like BTB unless I party up with Americans. When I do manage to find a game in playlists like Warzone Assault it now takes a very long time. The servers were fine before the update for me in the UK.
Now I pretty much can’t play the game when I want to and on my terms. I either HAVE to play at peak times and hope it finds a game or make sure I party up with my american friends each time I want to play.
What is even worse is over on the support section of the forums there are multiple threads by people in the UK/EU region who are having this EXACT problem originating at the EXACT same time and there is not a single reply from staff or anyone. Simply being ignored so far.
I ask this, what is even the point of a support section if there is literally no support?
I would like to be able to play the game, if 343 would be inclined to fix their servers to make this possible it would be fantastic…
