honestly anything written after chief nuked the ark to hell and was stuck in space is just non canon to me, legit cant think of anything 343 has added to the lore i actually liked, except maybe some minor stuff in the halo 2 terminals and the banished
-dont like how the forerunners are way too overexplained now and how they dont feel like halo at all (mostly cause halo 4 tried its hardest not to be halo)
-the precursors just feel redundant since we already had a mysterious alien race and now we just have another one (and i guess we get another another one with the endless whoever they are) and apperantly they turned into a space fart that became the flood or something
literally the last thing i want is for the flood to be explained
-the rookies death felt like cheap bait to just piss off odst fans
-the storm covenant were super underdeveloped and are probably the least threatenin enemies in all of halo. like they become slaves in the first game they show up and in the next game theyre literally on the brink of collapse.
-the prometheans have nothing good about them. bad designs, bad enemies to fight and i legit dont even remember the lore apart from the didact made them or some crap, i dunno. and i dont care either because they failed at the first thing enemies in a game have to be: fun to fight. if theyre not fun to fight or look at, then whatever lore you write for thems just not gonna matter
-apperantly guilty spark is alive now? why?
-i think the banished are cool as a concept but at least in the games theyve never been fleshed out enough for me to care about em the same way i did for the covenant in halo 2. i also think their origin story is kinda generic
thats all i got rn. i mean im pretty sure there oughta be something they did right, thats why the title of the thread is a question
