i thought you guys would have fixed this by now but even at a high cr i am getting unranked players on my team. So far this is my only complaint with the game but to me it doesn’t seem to be any sort of rhyme or reason to what players you get matched with.
Also i find that i feel like the arena is missing so many game types that it is just insulting.
i have the same problem. the skill lvl of my team is just noobish just because 2-3 other unranked players are in my team. this isnt evenb close to proper matchmaking.
i mean it would be more fun if i actually had skill match ups not people above me or way below me
exactly there should only be people from your same league or maybe a lower one trying to promote to your league in our games. unranked players can be unpredictable and can let you lose your games very quickly.
an example what a unskilled player(who should not be in platinum/diamond) can do from my experience.
i was in a game of stronghold(capture bases) with 3 unranked players. me as a platinum player was trowing a few promitian grenades to create a blocking wall for few seconds, so i could avoid enemy players running in. I even yelled into te microphone that i was trowing them in. my teammate was so noobish enough to run straight into my granade wall which caused a betrayal to go off…
also when they clearly know there are 2-3 enemy’s guarding the stronghold, they run into it like headless chickens…
please 343 fix matchmaking don’t let skilled player match with unranked/unskilled players and let players only match other players from the same league.
I agree. I’m admittedly not the best player and it’s a way better experience playing with people at my own skill or just slightly higher. It’s not fun and it’s hard to improve getting steam rolled by people far better than you. Plus I feel bad getting paired with high rank players and dragging them down. I understand their frustration but it sucks for us casual players too.
Onyx playlist is having the same, went from 1596 Csr down to 1535 now just because there’s always 2 people in my team going 2-15
Ill never get a good team going because one unranked player, hard to find a team, ill never get to diamond 3
join my spartan company ill be looking for players that have a decent skill level to help get them up

Agreed. The feature is either not working or was never intended to be put into matchmaking. Fix this.
Update i hit onyx and was still getting unranked players going into there 5th match. 343i please please for the love of halo fix this. i know the game just came out and you must collect data but hurry i dont like going in alone to find who knows what
One week later and I’m still getting paired with unranked players, while playing against Diamonds. There is no ‘skill based’ matchmaking at this point in time.
