Devs.. Please Consider... Puddles..

The sounds of Halo have always been immersive and beautiful. Remembering the different footfall sounds throughout the Halo games, I think of snow compacting beneath a Spartan’s boots, are the sharp thud on metal, and so on. And, in regards to the snow, I remember how cool it was when snow would kick up as you would run through it.

Watching game footage of ‘Fathom’, I’d like you at 343i to consider some water puddles here or there throughout the map, due to a leaky hatch or pipe, or what have you. I feel it would add to the immersion that the underwater map tries to give.

Anything that gives Fathom more of a Bioshock vibe, I vote for.

During the Gamescom Invitational, I heard splashing occasionally on Fathom.

I would say who cares but I’m an immersion shipper too. Maybe they’ll make adjustments. But maybe not.

I read the title as poodles. I’m more of a cat guy myself, but why not?

How about instead of regular fall damage we have a random chance to sprain our ankle and hobble around for the rest of the life? Or fall flat on our faces, disabling the HUD completely and leaving a huge crack in the visor? Or fumble our guns as we swap them and drop them both to the ground and have to pick them back up?

Forgable map underwater like Fathom with special effects usage breaking certain items would cause a change of flow of the map but yep more environmental maps for arena like a lava map with lava scorching the rocks or desert map like Sandtrap stepping into the sand and gusts of sand blowing with the wind leading to a sand storm etc.

Many of you, I’m sure, have played on forged maps where very shallow water was a part of the map- to run and gun through. Something g like that would seem more than ideal for a map like ‘Fathom’. The map loomed too… clean… to… dry…
