Devil’s Night Community FFA, Flood
and Smashing Pumpkins
Wednesday October 30, 2013
8pm-ish, EST

Some of us have annual traditions this time of year. Some get together for a feast due to harvest and thanks. Some get together to boil double, double, toil and trouble… And others seem to cosplay and wander the streets for candy (or give tricks).

Me, well I like to throw down some Halo and Halloween gaming on the night when all Hell is suppose to break loose (Halo+Halloween+Hell’s Night = Spartan Heaven, non?)
As FFA and Flood/Infection seem very appropriate for the season, FFA, Flood and the newly announced and limited time only, Smashing Punkins, in MM’ing with Waypointers, unless the party gets too large to support MM’ing, then we go customs, are on my agenda for many hours of the 2nd last night of October.

Maybe more details will follow, but in the mean time if you’re interested in joining, signup “below” :slight_smile:

COSTUME PARTY!
Care to dress up for the occasion?
ODST is the new black… Er old black… Whatever, you don’t need to wear black, just the ultimate Hell Jumper suit will do.
If you don’t have ODST, or simply wish to cosplay another hell-beast instead of your regular armour, well kick’er down.
Locus may be the season-maker but many other helms (and suit permutations) can and do make quite the monstrous effect. So come to the event dressed (or get dressed when you get there :wink:

Champions. What are they?
To me, a champion is someone who embodies a cause.
Take a look at the Trojan War. The champions for each side clash again and again in an attempt to further the purpose they served. Champions are seen as leaders, because of what they can do. Champions are usually great fighters, great thinkers. They are the best one can offer.
And that is what I believe a champion is.

I am on the ‘maybe’ side of this. Depends on family related matters that are personal. I don’t see them extending this late but you never know what might happen. I also say maybe, because I have Verizon as my ISP, and it might give me Incompatible NAT issues as it has been known to do with specific XBL users, which is odd, but it does.

It would be a fun night though to snap some photo ops and play Halo 4 with people that still enjoy it, as my direct group of friends lost interest in it to other games. I sent deluca a friend request on LIVE so I can make an attempt join party when everybody is ready. The playlists for this Devil’s Night aren’t ones I am familiar with, so it would also be a nice change of pace.

Out of curiosity, at the end of this Devil’s Night Community event, would we be able to have a customs game setup where we could get a photo of everybody together who participated in it? This way, everybody can have at least one momento from this night.

What I mean is, doesn’t need to be just the end of the night (as some may roll in and out over the course of the night), but taking a moment to capture a moment, yes we can.

Sounds awesome that you’re approving of such an idea, and better so to do it several times throughout the night, as players can be coming and going within the direct group, so that is a great idea you have.

What map or maps would you prefer to use for such photos? There are some DLC maps that would be good, as well as a couple of the game’s base maps. Forge Island can have some potential for some neat maps as well.
