Title says it all, this thread is to make 343 aware that yes, we enjoy the forge made BTB maps (some more than others) But we DESPERATELY need some developer made BTB maps… There have been so many amazing BTB maps, that look absolutely gorgeous, and i think it is only right that they make some for halo 5. Warzone is great, and the newer maps added have a lot more charm than the original ones at launch, but Halo is not Halo without amazing BTB maps. I know many of you hated halo 4, but halo 4’s BTB maps were awesome, and since BTB was never super competitive or ranked, it was great in halo 4. We just need em, I’mnot really sure why they aren’t there to begin with, unless the point was to force people into warzone bc of micro transactions… Anyways, need your thoughts community!!

BTB has been completely shafted in Halo 5 and its BS that there isn’t more rage from the community
In reality, if they did add more dev-BTB maps, people would still want to play on a Forge Blood Gulch, or Valhalla.
Well they stated that they will start making devmade doubles maps so maybe they’ll make ones for btb

There haven’t really been any fanmade maps that set the standard yet and there are not that many fanmade maps in rotation,not enough people or DEV’s are taking advantage of forge like that,But it would be nice if there weren’t just “Arena” sized maps…But more matchmaking style maps…They need all three map sizes small,medium and large. Finally TMCC isn’t finished so the success of H5G has suffered because of this. H2A still needs an average of 23-25 maps which it does NOT have and a file browser as well as things I have listed in other threads. If 343i cared enough about the HALO franchise and it’s fans they would do these things. A lot of these things can be fixed by putting H5G and TMCC on PC with cross play…Being that there are PC players that still want to play H3 and reach etc. With mod support and this is the perfect time to do these things.

Uhh, where did they say that? I think they meant that they were just going to put maps like Empire, Coliseum, etc. into Doubles… not make new maps dedicated to Doubles.
Halo 5 needs dev maps. None of Forge maps are optimized for Halo 5.
I think they just need new community maps. The forge community consistently creates better maps than 343 and, at this point, the devs probably should be spending their time on other things than maps for a social playlist. Also, once Tidal, the new textures, new objects, and other changes sink in, as well as forge for PC releasing, I am extremely excited about what some of the forgers will create.
The community has made it abundantly clear that they loathe every map 343 releases post-launch so why would you want them to keep releasing them?

It’s not that the maps are loathed… The community just wants fresh, unique maps. A few of the earlier remixes hardly changed up the gameplay enough to be justified as new maps, or played worse than the originals…
Iknow and. I love how the old maps for arena were uniqe and not just all closed in box’s or ovals. And BTB maps were so cool centered around ctf and 1 flag.
Halo 3 had the best maps make them like those again.
Halo 2 had a lot of great arena maps as well.
A lot of the forge maps we have now in BTB are dated. I wouldn’t mind seeing some new maps with the new forge pallet to replace some of the older maps if we can’t get dev BTB maps.
I would also like to see a return of 1 flag and maybe some assault gametypes.
I don’t mind the forge maps. There are some real good maps and exact replicas of classic maps like Sandtrap, Valhalla and Standoff.

Oh I’m sure the rage is there, just buried underneath the Call of Duty and Sprint threads. Always seems like the important stuff, ya know, the “game-changers” are never available to read right off the front page of this website, you have to dig through heaps of crud to get to the gold. I guess that’s life? Hmm.
I would take 5 community maps over 1 dev map. They can take the community maps and tweak them quicker than building one from scratch. I’m sure a lot of the people wo were working on BTB switched to developing WZ. WZ is the bread and butter play list.
Other than to force people into Warzone, we got what we paid for

I dont really see them making dev btb maps for h5, more likely for h6. I could be wrong though but recently ive been pretty pessimistic when it comes to 343i
Halo 5 map selection is a disgrace, the current state of the most popular playlist of the past halos is shameful. BTB deserved better than this, specially after the great job done in Halo 4.

There’s a fair bit…me included but Halo 5 get’s so many complaints that some thinks tend to get ignored, BTB does need AAA quality maps but so does a lot of arena modes, sadly I doubt it will happen due to the poor management over H5.
