The Halo subreddit is locked down at the moment but there is a huge post by ske7ch addressing pretty much every concern we have about the game right now. It clearly shows that 343 put their hearts and souls into this game and want to make it as good as they can. It is great to know they are agreeing with our feedback and working on fixes.
Good job 343! You have delivered a great experience with Infinite, even though not everyone is happy with its current state. We will be patient in waiting for the improvements you are working on and we will have fun in the meantime!

It seems clear at this point that there is 2 separate teams on Infinite. One team that does everything they can to make the game fun, cosmetics great, etc, actual dev stuff. And they do a great job at it.
And there’s the second team, the marketing/financial analysts/psychologists/representatives
Aka the team with real power, the ones taking all those stupid decisions.
A lot of 343 members have stated explicitly that they are in disagreement with the practices/way the game is handled. I thank you 343 devs/community manager for the great game and transparency. I’m sure they’ll make it greater in no time. (Well, some time like Sketch said)
I work in healthcare, specifically in patient facing palliative / end of life care and was with a lot of families as their loved ones died at home during the first wave of the pandemic.
Halo has been a major part of my time to unwind and spend quality positive time with my family during the lockdowns and the emotional challenge of many of my patients dying. It has been a source of tremendous FUN for the last two decades. Halo Infinite has for a long time been something I have been looking forward to with the promised return of split screen to play a modern generation Halo with my kids in the same room.
Halo Infinite exceeded my expectations, full stop.
Thank you for your hard work and know I will be with you guys for the next 10 years.

I may not agree with the predatory marketing going on, but the game otherwise feels fun and refreshing to play! I thank 343 for working as hard as they can through the pandemic and any other hurdles to bring us what we have now! And may they continue to deliver a fun experience! 
I’ll keep saying thank you to the 343 devs who are working hard day in and day out on making infinite into the game we all hope and know it can be. It’s hard, and the community’s hair-trigger doesn’t make it any easier. There’s work to be done, and 343 are doing it. There are obviously improvements that need to be made, and it seems like 343 is going to do their best to rise to that challenge, and for that I’m glad.
The gameplay and sandbox foundation of Infinite is spectacular in my opinion, and I’m excited to see where 343 takes it.
