Details of Deaths in Forward Unto Dawn

Dimah
We all asumed she died when the elevator was shot, but she survived…for a while.
Right after the elite cuts a statue in half, lasky and silva get up. The camera looks up to reveal what appears to be shrapnel, but this is not the case. There are live people falling from space. Here is what you see and hear…

*camera looks up, bodies are falling from the sky
Scream, glass breaking, silence
female scream, glass breaking, silence
*lasky and silva start running
*camera appears to take first person view
multiple screams
*A body wearing all of the white uniform can be seen
A loud female scream
*screen goes black

Colonel Mahafee
She was killed by three needles that were shot from either a needler or a needle rifle

J.J
An elite stuck an energy sword through his abdomen. The way his eyes look when he’s dead defines the moment.

Vickers
He tried to assassinate a spec-ops elite. Instead, he got a belly full of plasma.

General Black
He either got shot in the head or got hit from an explosion while he was in the worthog

The next death
It should either be orensky or silva. I say both will because orensky is lacking leadership since the covenant showed up. Silva will die because she is the second most important character in this inspiration-type story. Usually in history and stories like this, people are not just inspired by heroes, they’re inspired by having their closest loved-ones die. (i.e the punisher) In history, hannibal started the second punic war against rome simply because he witnesed the humiliation of carthage in the the first punic war… and vowed revenge.

Well, what do you think?

Mehaffey got shot by three needles and exploded from a supercombine. Therefore, it was more likely a Needle Rifle rather than a Needler.

Thank’s for clearing that up!

I have a feeling that all of them except Chief and Lasky will die by the end of the last episode.

> I have a feeling that all of them except Chief and Lasky will die by the end of the last episode.

I have that feeling too…

Fair assessment!

Dimah is definately dead when her body hits glass, wall and concrete falling from space but I also though she died when the elevator got blasted at first.

I reckon Orensky and Sullivan are gonners. Sullivan may well bleed out. Orensky may likely just get killed in a standard covy firefight and I have no idea how or whether Silva will die. Still agree with you very much so in that she would die to give Lasky a push into his role in Halo 4.

But we also saw a Carbine… did Reach just choose not to include Carbines or did FUD choose to add them in at this time period, and they weren’t in use yet?

You should have added Lasky to the poll for fun. :=)

The units that invaded Reach were a specific unit. Even today, different units of a same military can and do prefer certain weapons and equipment over others.

> You should have added Lasky to the poll for fun. :=)

yea…

Mehaffey went down like a sack of potatoes.

I think the surviving characters will only be Lasky, Chief and Beamish

> Mehaffey went down like a sack of potatoes.

And then she asploded into a cloud of blood.

I wonder what would happen if the Needler supercombines exploded that way in the actual game. Turn Grunts into gory messes…

I think it’s ironic that all of the dead characters have dissed/insulted lasky in some way…

> I think the surviving characters will only be Lasky, Chief and Beamish

Son… I hate to break it to you…

Beamish didn’t make it. Our comms say the cadets were the last surviving humans on the planet.

I’ll be very angry and sad if it’s Silva. :frowning:

> I think the surviving characters will only be Lasky, Chief and Beamish

Chiefs wrong, there’s 5 survivors. The space mop was just hiding Beamish’s life signs.

Silva’s probably going to bleed out at some point. It’s just how it works, and based on how she was clutching her stomach in Part 4, she has some internal bruising/bleeding going on.

Orensky is gonna die. Otherwise, we’d never see Lasky having to turn into the full-leader that we’re supposed to assume he is.

Given that Sully’s a tech guy, and overall his character is just…well…awesome, he will either survive, or he might be the one in front of the Hunter we see in the preview for Part 5. It is obviously not Chief, but I suppose it could be Orensky.

In any case, the most probable survivors for the best turn-out to the series are Chief (Given), Lasky (Given), and Sully (Highly Probable).

Think about it; Sully is a slightly-developed character, he’s now lost his sister, and there is no point if he were to die off, thus his death wouldn’t provide a dramatic impact on the show’s turn-out. Not only that, but his character would provide an excellent communications roll in Halo 4 or onward, just given that his character is developed as a reusable one, or rather one that is unnecessary, but wanted and there.

I’ll reiterate though; there is no point in Sully’s death whatsoever, given that he’s experienced his sister’s death already. ‘One per family’ is a typical phrase used by TV show developers, mainly because you can’t expect the audience to have the same impact twice for one set of characters (family). It’ll just seem like the show is trying to kill people off for no dramatic purpose or reason, which given what we’ve seen, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn is obviously trying to make an amazing impact.

And they’re succeeding.

I must agree, you made it sound as if you KNEW what would happen.

Wouldent it be cool if beamish survived?

Master Chief is walking through the infinity, sees a janitor with the name Beamish.

Lasky: how did you survive?

Beamish: space mop.
