The title says it all. Halo 4 is finished, so it cannot be modified, but would you want to see it in Halo 5 or 6?
I suppose that would be good also being able to carry a detached turret in any vehicle’s passenger position.
Why would you want or need to?
Besides, the ammunition container is on the base of the turret.

I guess once the warthog is destroyed, the turret can be salvaged, but with limited ammunition.

If your warthog was on the brink of blowing up, you might want to get out, detach the turret and kill a few bad guys before dying.
But, I doubt this’ll ever happen. The turret is built into the warthog.

NO! That would be too over powered, I guess it would make sense to be able to detach it.

But what would you shoot the enemy with? You’d never be able to remove the ammo drum in time.
on longbow someone picked up a turret from the ground and he was near to a Hog … so maybe it’s in Halo 4

Well that’s debatable, it depends how powerful the machine gun turret is in halo 4
Yeah great idea… Instead of having teammates hop on your Hog to help you out, you’ll have teammates that steal your turret and walk away with it.
lol

That is also a good point, imagine an enemy sneaking round the back of your base and destroying all your warthogs, (and any other vehicles this idea is based on)
Not a good idea. It sounds like it would only make the experience worse for players in small parties/searching alone. It’s difficult enough when random gunners bail without some idiot sabotaging your hog in a stroke of “genius” or as a panic button when you come under fire.
The trolling people would do.

That’s what I just said.
