Desync feels worse than 200ms ping

The desync in this game has feels worse than 200ms ping, even though i typcially get 50ms ping in Infinate. I can say this with confidence because my favorite other shooter I typically have 200ms+ ping, and TTK is about 1/3 that of Infinates, yet the lag from desync in Infinate feels worse.

Desync implies there’s latency issue.

You’re going to see more desync with higher ping.

You address this point at the end, but until then you make it sound like desync is somehow disconnected from latency and it’s a bit confusing.

I am well used to the issues that come with high ping, I regularly play a game with 200ms. Somehow, supper bullets, teleportation, and shooting around corners happens(both receiving and doing) far more often with Halo Infinites 50-100ms(depends which server I get) ping than the other games regular 200ping.

The reason I bring up the TTK difference is that the long TTK should make dying around corners happen less often and super bullets have less effect.

In case someone doesn’t know as I just learned the term recently myself, “Super bullets” is when the server says that you have been getting shot by someone for a while, even though on your screen you haven’t been getting shot at, and it all comes at once.

Easy fix just uninstall if enough people do they will be forced to fix the issues

This is also my main absolute issue with this game. The mp is so much fun but once tge de sync kicks in its absolute garbage. Literally getting beamed through walls and getting prefixed from across the map because they can see your model come out before your side does. It’s almost unplayable sometimes and the worst is when it happens in ranked…

I definitely notice a lot of weird lags, and plenty of moments where I’m one shotted by something and I assume that’s desync as well. For example, a single grenade shouldn’t one shot me, right? A single melee when my shields are full shouldn’t one shot me either I assume.

I don’t know much about this subject but I’m guessing this is because I’m being shot and it isn’t registering on my system until after I’m dead.

Eh not entirely true. I tend to connect to my local server since I live very close to the one in Washington State. Usually have around 13-17ms latency (fiber optic internet) and get desync really bad. When I have 50-70ms of latency desync doesn’t seem as bad but packet loss becomes and issue and I then have trouble walking through doorways. So I think the issue is just overall stability.
