Desync breaking Spartan showdowns in Last Man Standing mode

Last Spartan Standing is the perfect example on how much momentum and advantage is lost when you start randomly teleporting. Lost 3 games straight on a 1v1 because of failed backsmacks, shotty-punch, and teleporting across the map.

I don’t know how it got worse.

Teleporting is usually due to rubberbanding which is almost always your own internet/setup.

That isn’t desync brother, you are the desync. Other players will experience desync because of you.

Im directly connected to an ethernet. Every desync problem always shows the whole “Clutter, Jitter” messages up top. Even if I am experiencing it, I see other players perfectly fine killing me. Besides, that still doesn’t validate my subject of it destroying the gameplay.

Rubberbanding can still occur on ethernet. It’s destroying gameplay but it is likely your own localised issue. Do you rubberband in other games?

I’ve heard some people say they get it sometimes in other games but more in Halo Infinite which means a fix is needed but the major problem is likely at home still as most players will not experience the banding.

Ya. I’m sure that De-synch and Rubber Banding are the end users’ fault, right?

That’s why The Head HI Developer produced a multi page article explaining how De-synch / Rubber Banding is due to major bugs in HI’s Server Side motion projection code and how they, after 6+ months, still have no idea to resolve it.

But sure, blame it on the end user.

Yep all the desync I’ve ever had has been the direct result of internet crashes, on ethernet.

That’s not what the article says, but sure. Agree to disagree.

Same I’ve had no rubberbanding in this game in 700 games. If the bug is major and only caused by 343 then how am I so lucky?

Yep. I’ve had some rubberbanding but 3 times out of 4 my internet crashed right after.

Infinite is the only game I have any sort of rubber banding/latency/jittering in, and I play on wi-fi. Destiny 2, for example, has no network issues whatsoever (except for when Bungie’s servers go down). In infinite it’s almost constant instability on a stable connection with <50ms ping
