I think that destiny was the bungie’s idea for the future of halo… its development go back to halo 2 time… but they thought that the final result was too different to original game (halo). So, they have decided to create another game. I think also that sprint & armor abilities in halo reach was some of theese ideas…
I think that destiny pvp will be similar to halo 4 gameplay…with more personal abilities…
So, is right that 343 follow this way? Destiny and Halo 5 pvp could be very similar… i don’t like this… imho, the only way for 343 must be a return to the original gameplay…
I agree that Bungie was itching to do this with Halo.
Is it right for 343 to do this with Halo? No. Halo is more of an arena shooter.
Is it okay for Destiny or ‘Halo MMO’ (had they kept the game rights and continued)? YES. The Halo 4 game mechanics make perfect sense in an MMMO setting where everyone has different weapons / gear / abilities.
Balance is the key in normal Halo games. H4 clearly lacks balance compared to H3.

Activision, Its art design seems mass effect-y ( not sure if that is good or not) , Bungie takes out hate for MS on their fans and activison. Well thats why I dislike them buuuuuut he is refering to how much money has been thrown at it.

Yeah, for sure. I’ll likely stick to Halo games as they are more my style.
I just feel Bungie is making Destiny for the right reasons.

why bungie hates MS? i don’t know this… but it’s true, because at next E3 destiny will be placed in a sony stand…

If I remember correctly MS was trying to force them into making more Halo (I could be wrong but I think that was it)

That’s $500 million over a ten-year contract. No need to be so hateful, especially since I doubt you are knowledgeable or experienced enough in the game development business to know whether or not that’s an “embarrassment.”

I think we can learn a lot from what Bungie has done with Destiny. Particularly, when you want to completely change your game, you develop a new IP and hand the existing one to someone else. #classichaloftw

I know its just…people are excited for this game…it makes me feel bad to bring people down when they are this excited about said game, besides I said Space COD because of activison not because of me actually thinking it…

The 500 million isn’t just for creating and releasing the game. It’s for improving and expanding on the game long after its official release. I remember them stating in one of the ViDocs that the idea was not to reinvent the game every year with a new game/disc, but to continuously build on top of and improve the existing one.
I couldn’t find that vidoc for you if I tried though, so take that with a grain of salt.
