I made this post before and listed off the reasons in a constructive manner. I then got censored by the “moderators”, because apparently it was not a constructive conversation. After that each one of my reply were censored. When I say censored I mean removed.
Constructively talk about how Destiny feels more like Halo than Halo 5.
For the record Halo 5 is really good but the maps, radar and some weapon tweaks need to happen to make it actually last for more than a year. I really hope that things get fixed up because Break out is a great mode and the mechanics of FFA and Team death match are actually pretty darn good. But as I have stated in the title of the post Destiny feels more like Halo than Halo 5 and the reason why is because of the map design/flow and weapon purpose/balance as well as speed of movement which is a strange thing to say since Halo didn’t have sprinting and I am totally fine with ADS and sprinting.
I couldn’t disagree more. Destiny is a great game, but it’s a style all its own. Maybe you prefer that style, but in which way is the “flow” and “weapon purpose” more like halo? Destiny you can spawn with whichever weapon you want. Not to mention you have an automatic kill everything super move that you automatically get no matter how your team performs.
Either elaborate more on what similarities Destiny has to Halo (which is to say more similar to Halo) or let’s call this what it is. A troll post.
This is obviously a troll post. But the only thing similar to Halo in Destiny PvP is that it’s very nooby. So I guess in a way it is similar since Halo 5 takes more skill and knowledge to get good than previous Halos. Other than that, Destiny’s aiming mechanics are different, bullet bloom, massive recoil, health/damage is different, grenades work differently, jumping is different, maps are 1-dimensional, ranking doesn’t mean anything, you get random rewards, everyone doesn’t start with the same perks/movement and weapons so not very balanced too, and so on. So ya, OP is just trolling LOL
Halo 5 may have had a mixed bag of good, bad and just plain confusing. But at least it had a story. My strongest memory I’ll always carry with me about Destiny is how that one random character told us that she couldn’t tell us about why she couldn’t tell us about what we were doing. The lack of the story in that game was quite an offense considering all the people who fell in love with the Halo universe Bungie built.
After spending hundreds of hours. (6D 22H 27m on my titan alone) I can tell you the Destiny plays more like CoD then Halo. Where ADS actually effects movement speed and Accuracy. It plays nothing like Halo
Halo 5 is one of the greatest Halo games I have played in a very long time
Destiny has no story and has probably the worst, most tacked-on PvP multiplayer to ever be conceived. Destiny PvP literally makes me want to kill myself.
Halo 5’s story may have been bad, but at least there was actual effort involved, rather than a thinly veiled excuse to milk you with disk locked content for the next 10 years.
Troll somewhere else, go back to Bungie.net
Not even close buddy. How did you even come up with this conclusions and you give no reasons or proof at all. I am seriously tired of posts like this. Like every single Halo, Halo 5 has its flaws. It is not a perfect game and I certainly don’t want another Halo 2 anniversary game or even a Halo 3 anniversary. I wanted Halo 5 and 343 delivered a halo 5 with the arena MP I love and the new warzone. The game is still fresh, new maps and playlists still need to be released and I can’t wait for those but Halo 5 plays like a Halo game.
I couldn’t disagree any more. Halo 5 gets everything right that Destiny can’t get right. The weapons actually have ranges that are clear and make sense. The way smart link, not ADS, works is nothing like Destiny ADS and for good reason.
Halo5 maps are much better than the Destiny crucible maps. Elevation is useful and not undermined by super jumps. Power positions create a better flow for the 4v4 game play.
Req packs and the cards take the Destiny loot system and over reliance on RNG and actually does a good job. In Destiny a duplicate is useless and means a wasted week, I. Halo 5 it’s not only useful but no lockouts either.
