Design an MM Achievement.

Ones that encourage people just to play are great. Ones that get a player to differ from their usual gameplay can sometimes be ok, but then you get a lot of players trying for a Shotgun Spree on a map, it can ruin everyone’s fun. You always get a steady stream of people going for those achievements too, it can be annoying to fight against. Some of them are challenging and fun, and I prefer the ones that allow me to achieve them in my own way (like winning games or being MVP).

So what sort of achievements are you wanting if there’s Multiplayer based achievements?
(Lets be honest, there probably will be).

Opinion below, be warned:

> Great:
> Win X objective games
> Get to rank X (not max)
> Get 100 kills with X gun (over all games)
>
> Decent:
> Get X kills in X vehicle/weapon in a game
> Get a flag beatdown
>
> Tricky/Game-Altering :
> Get X Kills with X Weapon on X Map
> Earn a Sword/Shotgun Spree in X Maps/Modes
>
> OH GOD WHY:
> Double Kill with a Splaser on FFA
> Win a game of rare game variant on rarely played DLC with conditions. (eg. Don’t Touch That, was harder to actually get the game modes right)

DELETED, LOOK BELOW

Reaches new defiant achievements were some of the worst in halo history, no achievements should have to be done on a certain map or game type that is not a playlist and especially no dlc maps. I never thought something could dethrone two for one and overkill as the worst halo achievements but all alone did it easily, however I eventually got them with pure luck. Still horrible though.

Name: Why dont you have Hayabusa?

To do: kill 3 people in a row with assassinations

I think reach pre dlc had the best mp achievements, they were all simple, fun and encouraged you to play different game types and try new things, then the map pack achievements yoinked everything up

Matchmaking Achievements are the devil and a scourge on gaming as a whole.

This I can agree with, the Noble ones made sense as they were all easily do-able at the time. If there’s DLC achievements they should not be gametype specific. It took weeks of playing squad DLC to get the right modes. That in itself was probably the hardest part.

PTFO: Capture a flag in 5 different games

> Matchmaking Achievements are the devil and a scourge on gaming as a whole.

Speak for yourself, I had great fun chasing my Perfection.

I mainly speak with the notion that if you don’t have an online account, you can’t get those Achievements, which is unfair. Lots of people agree with me on that.

Achievement: You’re Trying Too Hard
Description: Earn a Perfection in Multiplayer Matchmaking

achievment: i know what the ladies like
description: 50 appropriate tbags (appropriate: a bag after a kill that actually took skill, they had the drop on you, your shields were down, etc)

Win ten games in a row.

> Matchmaking Achievements are the devil and a scourge on gaming as a whole.

Always so negative cheer up man, on another note I like multiplayer Achievments

Name:fighter not a lover ( win a game with at least one female spartan on the other team)

Woowoowoow
Kill a player with a fusion coil.

Achievement Unlocked:
Angles, how do they work? 25g

Description: One-shot kill an enemy in multiplayer with the Scattershot off a wall or surface.

Then have offline equivalents like Mass Effect 3 did?

> Win ten games in a row.

That would actually be pretty difficult, and awesome at the same time.

I like this one too, very clever.
