Design an infinite assassination!

(Disclaimer: not official)
design an assassination!
format:
name:
Enemy type: (is this assassination against enemy spartans? Elites? Soldiers? Grunts?)
Description: (what does this assassination look like?

here are mine as examples, let me know if you like them!
name: execution
enemy type: spartans
description: player A (assassin) elbows player B in the back, knocking player B to the ground. Player A then puts one foot on player B’s chest. Player B attempts to push player A’s foot off but fails. Player A takes out a magnum, and aims it at player B’s head. Player B puts their hands up in front of their head. Player A then fires 3 shots into player B’s head, killing them. The magnum is only for show, and is used regardless of wether the player is carrying it or not.

my other idea:
name: pinned
enemy type: spartans
description: player A hugs player B around the waist, and pushes them onto the ground. Player B turns onto their back to face player A, as player A stands over them. Player A gets on their knees on player B’s hands, preventing them from using them. Player A is now sitting on player B, rendering them immobile. Player B squirms, as player A takes out there knife. Player A stabs player B in the face, retrieves their knife, and stands up.

FYI, both of these assassinations move at the speed of most assassinations.

did you like mine? Let me know and share your own!

I love the thought and effort you put into thinking of these! I wouldn’t mind seeing some new “serial killer” type assassination in infinite as long as it doesn’t take so long and then you’re dead. I personally wish there weren’t assassinations and instead just a one hit punch in the back all the time, but I wouldn’t mind seeing some new ones in.

You stand a short distance in front of your opponent and fire your grapping hook into their chest while yelling out in a deep voice “Get Over Here”…

And then the game shuts down because Microsoft got sued into bankruptcy

maybe a special one where you press buttons in a menu and it saves your assassination, and certain moves are unlocked over time

I like Assassinations in PvE way more than in PvP, personally. I think the eloquence and simplicity of the beatdown is always a better choice than showboating with an Assassination and making yourself vulnerable in PvP.

With that in mind, I would be happy to see some revisions/additions to how Assassinations work in the PvE sandbox.

If I recall correctly, in Reach (the only game featuring Brutes as an enemy AI type and Assassinations as a game mechanic), Brutes could be Assassinated, but only if the player “got the drop” on them (if their AI was aware of you at all, it was a no-go). This was fine when Brutes were kind of a secondary Covenant force, but I would like to see it revisited in Infinite where (presumably) Brutes will be a much more primary enemy class.

Having a means of assassinating Brutes In PvE more readily would be awesome- even if it required some kind of “setup” mechanically (Something like needing to drain their health below a certain point or maybe even stunning them with the new shock weaponry before they become “Assassinatable”).

I’ve felt similarly about Hunters since Reach, too. Obviously, players shouldn’t be able to just get behind a Hunter and hold Melee to get a kill, but I do think having a way to do it that involves more technicality would be welcome to many fans. Again, requiring something along the lines of dealing a certain amount of damage, knocking their back plate off with explosives (or ripping it off with the Grappleshot, maybe!), or stunning them somehow before they become eligible to assassinate ought to be enough to keep their role as “juggernaut AI” intact while still giving players a chance to have those “Wow!” moments of getting an Assassination on them.

Just some more PvE oriented thoughts.

Idea 1:
Spartan A grabs Spartan B by the right arm, and then slashes Spartan B in the side of their ribcage while pulling their arm towards them(Similar to the initial movements of Eyebiter from Halo 5). Spartan A then lifts Spartan B’s arm up, making them lose their balance, and then A stabs B in the neck, plunging them into A’s knee.

Idea 2:
(Air to Ground Assassination)
Spartan A plants their feet on Spartan B’s shoulders, then jumps off, making B stumble a bit. Spartan A then delivers an axe kick to B’s head, slamming their face into the ground.

Idea 3:
(Activates if holding a grappleshot)
Spartan A uses their grappleshot to latch onto one of Spartan B’s legs. A then pulls backwards, making B fall on their stomach and be pulled to A’s location. A then stomps on the back of B’s head, killing them.

I was also thinking about an animation involving a roundhouse kick, but I’m having trouble developing a unique idea with it.

(If while sprinting)
Spartan A charges forward and drop kicks Spartan B, staggering them, then throws their knife at them, hitting them in the back of the head. Spartan A then retrieves their knife quickly.
(Normal)
Spartan A sweeps Spartan B off the ground, then stabs B in the neck in midair while B is sideways.
(Why yes, that was from DOOM)

It always felt so much more satisfying to assassinate a brute because you cant just play ring around the rosie with them. As for hunters and other boss/juggernaut type enemies, halo 5’s warden eternal could be assassinated if you brought his health to 25 percent. This could somehow be implemented to boss and juggernaut type enemies
