I’m so sick of people quitting during a match. I can’t remember the last time I finished a game without anyone leaving. Can’t there be some kind of punishment if you leave midgame you got to wait 15 minutes before searching the next game, 30 if you leave again and so on.
Why should a person be punished for not playing a map/game type they don’t like? I paid for me to have fun. I don’t have fun with Oddball, or KOTH, or CTF, or many of the terrible Halo 3 maps (Cold Storage, Citadel, Isolation, etc). I would imagine when proper playlists are released, like an Objective only playlist, and Team Snipers, that the quitting will mostly stop.
The quitting issue is not only because of the crappy playlists, it’s also because we don’t have an effective behind the scenes matchmaking system that is supposed to match up people of similar skill levels so they have fun playing together. Destroying the other team by 40 points isn’t fun and neither is getting steamrolled by a team much better than yourself.
When they fix that, I’m certain people will stop quitting as much.
It is not important to me that they quit when we are down 30-5, but they quit under any circumstances. Slayer when we are down 20-15 or when it is really close like 40-40, King of the Hill when we are down by 10-20 points after the first rotation, they even leave sometimes when they are leading. And they leave so often right after the match begins. It is extremely annoying for the other 7 players.
I just feel that this egoistical behaviour should be punished, because the other 7 players can’t play this game how it should be because of one stupid -Yoink- leaving midgame. And by not punishing them, they will do it over and over again

Also, the people that are “quitting” early aren’t always quitting.
There’s many reasons why people disappear mid game, and quitting is not necessarily the main cause.
Punishing people because their game glitched out would be a pretty douchey thing to do while the game is in its current state.
I disagree with people leaving the game once the match has begun. mind you getting raped by halo pros and going 50-10 or less…you can’t really complain if your teamates leave then. But what i see is people ditching it out after the votes are cast, which is perfectly legitement. I’m sick of seeing team BRS and i leave every time i see it now, i do my best to leave immediately so that at least everyone knows they’re down one player…but seriously until there’s a seperate playlist for team brs that i can play when i want everyone to have a br then i’m going to keep leaving after the votes.
