Describe your dream Forge environment

Okay, so a lot of people (understatement of the year) don’t particularly like the three Forge environments that Certain Affinity has provided us with.

So, if you could have a Forge environment (Or multiple), what would it be like? Would it resemble any terrain from another Halo map? What kind of weather would it have? Explain in as much detail as you like.

I think it’d be interesting to see what people want to see.

Custom map editor

Sand trap but larger for me would be great. But what would make it cooler was if it was at night time.

Anything with particle-based water effects (make your own slip and slide!)

The map itself would be Avalanche, Containment and Ice Fields combined with a lot of flat terrain and forerunner structures in-between.

There would be three variants for each of the three maps.

Forerunner pieces.

Ability to add Halo 3 vehicles like the chopper and hornet.

Harvest the planet!!!

Hmm…a slightly bigger forge world. Best forge envoirment to exist.
I’m sure there’s disagreement over that though.

Man I hope ALL of these suggestions happen. Just seeing all the different ideas that people have is amazing.

With the current state of “H4orgeless” ANYTHING would be better than what it
is. I just watched the Bungie “O Brave New World” video. And the amazing things that REACH Forge had to offer. Man THOSE were the days. Remember all the Gametypes we had to choose from?

If the TU doesn’t address the Forge issues I can pretty much say H4 will go from 4th in my playlist to the recycle bin.

In my opinion it’ll be a slap in the face to the community forgers if nothing is done.

C U on Destiny

A white screen with nothing but a one million budget.

Something in the style of Farcry 2’s map editor.

Complete control over weather, time of day (or night) and setting. Of course with Halo forgeable instances spanning from Halo 1 to Halo 4, and that means all vehicles for example.

All I want is another map like forge world.

A variety of them.
As in, Halo 3 variety.
It would be best if every map had a decent item roster, and if NONE of the maps were choked by kill barriers and invisible walls all around.

And none of this “just one designated Forge map” nonsense.
Nobody wants to see the same exact environment used in literally EVERY map variant.
No single map is good enough to be the ONLY map.

A gigantic map with varied environments/geology.

I would want to Forge in Termina where when a round ends, the Moon kills everyone.

A separate client released for the PC. Where I can alter code (with a limit), make very small and precise movements. A place where I can align textures, import custom models and textures. Create interactive consoles for players to use during game play, and custom sky boxes.

The ability to change things like grass, and geology of the maps, add water, raise water levels, create dangerous kill zones to knock players into (American gladiators style), being able to change the music and the announcers. Adding in custom powerups/weapons, full control over ordnance drops and dynamic player respawns.

A guy can dream can’t he?

Underwater.

snow, desert, Jungle, and flatland environmental on one map, with a large ocean in the middle of them

with every vehicle that halo has ever given
is my dream

5 Forge worlds put together. 1 grassy, 1 desert, 1 snowy, 1 high tech and 1 volcanic. And there wouldn’t be a death barrier for the water to allow underwater forging.

Oh, and a 1 million budget doesn’t sound too bad either.

A giant cave

A large lake

Forge world

An acid lake

A flat expanse with the ability to change the weather and environment for that expanse

The ability to make flat squares of grass - please.

Why can’t they just get it right? Take five minuets to talk to any competent forger and implement the stuff they say and Halo 4 would have one hell of a forge! The community comes up with so much - and they bring in so little…

Theres only two things I want. I want Forge World back and I want a bigger budget. Not much, but at least double it.
