Describe how your launch night will go!

Weather you’ll be at school or work the next day, describe for everyone how midnight launch is gonna go for you!

I plan on heading over there around 11 with some friends of mine, picking up the game, going home to already prepared day’s worth of food lol, and play until my eyes bleed or my thumbs break haha.

Also the first thing i plan to do is campaign possibly co-op with friends and then MultiPlayer.

For some reason i also always record the first MultiPlayer game i ever play on a Halo game so i can go back later and see how bad i was or what i did.

So guys whats your plans for launch night???

9:30 pm: Head over to GameStop with my friends. Set up our chairs
11:45 pm: Put away the chairs and anything else we need to put away
12:00 am: Get the game, say goodbye to the friends, and head home
12:15 am: Arrive home and get everything (game, food, drinks) downstairs.
12:25 am: Open my Legendary Edition and start appreciating everything.
12:45 am: I’m assuming a Limited Edition Console, so I’ll set that up.
1:00 am: Download any bonus content, then start up the game
1:10 am: Begin playing campaign

By the way has there been a confirmed legendary edition or anything, just wouldnt be Halo without one.

Halo 4 Midnight Release Plan

1. After meeting with all my fellows, we head to the mall in which Gamestop is located.
We will wait in line to receive our tickets for the game. If a Halo tournament is held we will likely have signed up for it.

2. Afterwards we will either get a couple of Little Ceasers Pizzas or walk over to the Carl’s Jr. in the parking lot and enjoy an awesome meal.

3. We will then head back and wait until it is time to receive our copies. The time spent waiting will be full of total awesomeness and excitement.

4. After receiving our copies of the game, we will then split up into two groups; heading to get the Mountain Dew, Doritos and other refreshments while the other heads back to my apartment where we are hosting the all night Halo marathon to prepare everything.

5. Once everyone is accounted for we will boot up the game on all our respective Xbox’s and HD TV’s and proceed to play Halo 4. And it will be awesome.

Hold on let me copy and, paste my answer from the 16 other threads that, have, the same topic…

It hasn’t been confirmed, but I don’t see it not happening, just like I don’t see a special edition console not happen. I don’t think it should happen, but I think it will anyway.

Actually it has been pretty much confirmed that a Halo 4 Special Edition 360 will be available. If you really do need a source I will see if I can find it.

Being first in line and getting Legendary

Not yet but im hopeful…

It shalt be liketh teh night upon christmas eve for mey. Teh door shalt be thy tree and teh postman father christmas!

In my bed, sleeping…

Never done a midnight launch, never will. Not even for Halo.

i was just curious, does gamestop give out special things on midnight launch?

back on topic.

i’ve never been to a midnight launch but i’ll pick up legendary edition in early morning, then play all day and night

I’m not sure if I have uni then, but regardless I’ll be playing campaign all day or all night.

Edit. Oh, I thought this was a “launch day” thread. I don’t go to midnight releases.

Ill be brushing up on my AR skillz, as it appears I will not be unlocking my BR until lvl 50 and I want to be prepared for the Halo 4 Arena.

I’ll get it the next day.

Sleeping. Pretty sure the base doesn’t do midnight releases so I’ll just cross my fingers they actually have it on release day instead. :stuck_out_tongue:

Describing what you’re going to do during a midnight release this holiday, step by step, isn’t really helping the whole “Gamers DO have lives” argument.

Well I hope I have a full-time job by then. Because if not I’ll just be heading to bed, maybe earlier than normal to make the night go more quickly, then get up and await the delivery.

If I’m in full-time work, I may have booked the day off, mind. And instead of waiting for it like I did with every other new game I’ve bought in the last four years, I may pop out early and grab it myself if I really can’t wait. But if any games are going to make me do that this year, it’ll be BioShock Infinite and Assassin’s Creed III. Unless Halo 4 transpires as being more popular for me than those two. Which is doubtful, but a possibility.

10:00PM: Sit at home, avoiding every internet forum possible due to leaks, people who have the game early.
11:45PM: Hop into bed with my laptop and wait patiently until the soundtrack is released on iTunes at midnight.
12:01AM: Download the soundtrack, just like I did for CEA.

Then I will wake up the next day and go to school, come home and my legendary edition will be waiting for me.

I’m not a midnight release guy, especially since I’m probably pre-ordering online with Play.co.uk.

I’ve gone to the midnight launch of every Halo, always been first in line, this will be no different. I expect I’ll already have the game by launch night, such is the speediness of postage in the UK, but I’ll head on out to my local GAME to pick up my Legendary Edition and LE Console as well as any controllers and headsets they release.

I’ll head home to my Halo room where beer and snacks will be prepped and ready to go. Set up my new console and get Halo 4 installing whilst I call Dominos.

I’ll then jump into the campaign and see if I can get it done in one sitting, Heroic difficulty for the first playthrough. Once that’s done I’ll get in touch with friends who’ll be doing the same thing, hopefully they’ll be done or nearly done and ready to start Legendary co-op. At some point fatigue will set in and I’ll need to take a nap.

After a power-nap I think Spartan Ops will be calling me.
