Why do I derank in a 2v4 match?

Did you win the game? For your second question, it doesn’t matter if they haven’t played any games since your rank division is low enough for unranked people to match with you.

You only derank if you lose. Also, please dont bump your own thread.
Deranking happens in 2v4 because if you played with a smurf and were gonna lose they could leave and make it a 3v4. So your teammate abandons the team sorry but you derank it happens to everyone. I play onyx to champ tier normally and i play with my average friends for fun and i dont really like smurfing so when they do ranked guess what? I go up one onyx point everytime i carry and go down 30 if i cant. So deranking on 2v4s isnt so bad cause at least you dont lose a ton of rank.

Check forum rules on that one. In fact just click the report option at the bottom of the post, and you will see an option for Post Bumping.
On topic: Like others have said it doesn’t matter how many players are left in the game. It’s matters if you win or lose.

At least it’s not as bad as getting stuck in silver. I went 30-7 once and I still lost because of smurfs.

Trust me its worse getting your rank back up to champ and smurfs happen at all levels trust me they ruin halo.
