Halo Reach: I connected to Xbox live and got deranked 3 levels. From captian to warrant officer 1. Can I fix this? Thanks.
Seems pretty absurd to be de ranked never hear of it. Possibly contact xbox support.
The only thing I can think of involves you getting disconnected from Xbox LIVE sometime before you shut your console off and thus your rank and cR didn’t save correctly.

No, I was connected the whole time. I have heard of people being deranked, just not as badly as I was. And now after being deranked, it is harder to rank up. How can I contact Xbox for the problem? Where do I go? Thanks man.
I was de-ranked on my other Xbox account. ive been set back to warrant officer and i was a lt colonel. i did not really care though 
You lost maybe 100K cR. Wait until it takes 3.5M cR to rank, then tell me about how bad it is!
I would just keep playing. maybe it just glitched out
If you mean you connected your account to xbox live for the first time, this is normal.
If you have never connected to xbox live before, its easier to gain credits. Bungie included the system de-rank to avoid people blitzing their way to inheritor.
