In Swat the other day I ranked at Diamond 2. Then the following day I lost one game and I was sent to platinum 1. Now I won a few matches today and I was sent to diamond 2 but it shows platinum.
What you are seeing may be a known bug where certains Platinum ranks appear as Diamond.
