The field marshals in reach had horned helmets, I think.
Remember, Halo 4 is going for a darker, more serious look. Hence the new grunts…
I’m not sure why they look demonic… most of us have been fighting Elites for 10 years now so I don’t really see why we’re going to be suddenly scared of them. I think seeing the flash of gold from a Zealot will make me more scared than some little horns and red metal.
Oooooh they’re so scarey.
Just looks like a design off-shot of the Reach Spec-Ops Elite helmet to me.
Just ceremonial.
RIP Goldies. Your once shiny pure gold armor is now covered in blood stains.
Reminds me of those cultists main enemy guys from elder scrolls. What were they called again?
That actually is suppose to be a Spec Ops not a Zealot. Fix the name and get it right on the packaging! Zealots never had that kind of helmet only Spec Ops do! DX rages

If that is in fact a zealot, I’m disappointed they have moved so far away from old standard golden armor. The gold always seemed more intimidating and stood out. Now it just seems like it’s wearing a bug hat.

i think youre thinking of Daedra.
Ah it does have a daedric look doesnt it… I immediately thought they looked like evil-demonic versions of Elites just like Chaos Marines to Space Marines. Like actual demons.
I prefer Elites to look strong, agile, smooth and technologically advanced. All previous Halos have got that look but this new Spec Ops Elite… I just can’t work out why Sanghelli would shift from a look like this to this.
And why lose the forearm armor?? Can you imagine a Spartan wearing Mjolnir with no forearm armor?

actually 343 has confirmed that is a Zealot class… makes me want to cry. :’( sure it looks nice, but it just completely ruins the thought of Zealots being “the gold guys”

i just realized, the spec ops Elite doesnt even have eye-protection! what is the point of a full face helmet, with no eye protection?
yea the elites seem to be all wearing less actual armor–maybe this is just some separatist group

Yea, I’d prefer if the Elites still had that technological look. The new look is good to, but throw in a little more sleek, shine, and lights.
It’s just weird that the armor only covers certain parts of the Elites body. It fully covers the legs and feet but not the arms, surely an Elite would understand that in close combat the forearm protecting armor is very useful.
Next up; Spartans try out the Mjolnir armored shorts and flip flops.
