Demon and Fury?

I know it’s not a big deal, but I am curious as to why Red Team is called “Demon” and Blue Team is dubbed “Fury”.

Considering the fact that RT uses the wolf emblem and BT uses the unicorn emblem it would seem more natural to use word like “fury” to describe the ferocious predators that wolves (and all canines generally) are. And considering that unicorns are supernatural affronts to nature itself, the word “demon” would as a description for unicorns, be a tad more accurate than as a description for the very natural wolves.

Just my “two cents”.

I am actually hoping that these team names are a new feature that hasn’t been talked about yet. The ability to name your ‘team’ (or party) would be very cool. It may not be in War Games, but at least for custom games it would be nice.

Fun fact, Wolves aren’t that ferocious, they retreat as soon as they know their outmatched, never fight to the end, and are cowards unless they’re backed up by their pack.

On Topic. Wolves were considered demons in some mythologies, I think. and maybe the Unicorn is just…
It’s…
I mean it could mean.

I don’t know, maybe it’s placeholder, stop confusing me.

It’s a part of the canon that binds the multiplayer to the campaign and Spartan Ops story. All will be revealed soon.

343i states that these team names will be customisable, but not to the player.

Whatever that means…

Makes sense.

Would be an interesting feature, but what if a team had the same name as your team.

That they’re ferocious doesn’t mean that they’re stupid, and I’m not sure which mythologies you refer to. Please direct me towards one of them.

But you’re right, it might be a placeholder. Or as that other guy said; it might be a cool new feature!

I’d prefer to imagine spectral death wolves and rabid, blood-soaked, red-eyed unicorns.

Well 343i has some Unicorn -Yoink!- as far as I can tell. Master of Unicorns rank, the Unicorn System in Halo: Legends’ Odd One Out and Team Unicorn.

As long as I can use the Unicorn as my own emblem I like the team names, but if they take that away just because the teams have it, then I will be sad :c

It all makes sense now, 343i are bronies!

Until they start starving… Then they’re less Courage: The Cowardly Dog and more Cujo.
