Demeaning Spartan

I find that it would be extremely demeaning to ever be considered any kind of Spartan from Halo 4. They are all so pathetic, even the Master Chief is pathetic in this game. t really is sad to think that a genetically enhanced super soldier can only sprint for about 5 seconds, and they have the take off speed of a fat guy. No wonder the Elites rejoined the Covenant, they realized how pathetic the human race was.

The reason they can only sprint for a limited time is due to gameplay reasons and safety constraints canonically. As for the Elites, well, are they really better? Their leader is pretty much a wuss.

“Knights, protect me!”

LOL

get your facts straight they did not rejoin the covenant because there is none. the elites in halo 4 are their own faction that still worships forunners.

Well…you’d be scared too if a team of trained spartans and a commander spartan were shooting at you.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Well Spartan IV’s aren’t specifically selected unlike Spartan II’s.

I’d like to see flinching explained xD I’m a super soldier with a shield and heavy -Yoink- armor and I flinch at a bullet? I just don’t understand

> Well Spartan IV’s aren’t specifically selected unlike Spartan II’s.

But still…big huge dudes in big huge armors with big huge guns? Yeah…

At least you flinch…like a boss.

LOL! I guess that’s true =D Next time I’m flinching due to constant DMR fire, I’ll just remember that I look cool doing it, haha

How about you get your facts straight, the game even lists the Elites as members of the Covenant. Think before you speak.

Just saying, so much for the proud warrior guys we are used to.

If you’d read the sentence right after that then there would have been no reason for you to ask.

Hmmph, that must have been all you read. If you’d read the sentence right after that then there would have been no reason for you to ask such a stupid question.

As compared to not sprinting at all in past games? Also, a gameplay balance element doesn’t negatively impact the character.

Even Spartan IIs were shorter than Elites. And Spartan IV are shorter than Spartan IIs. So…

That’s not why the Spartans are disappointing. It’s their pathetic jump height and absurdly long shield recharge waiting time.

Chief in particular is not nearly as fun to play as. I can manage the super complex, frustrating jumps but do I enjoy them? No way!

Of course, the AI Spartans are infinitely worse.

Halo 5 needs begins rant

-better jump height for Chief
-shield scales with difficulty. On lower difficulties, keep it the way it is. On higher difficulties, improve it’s timing. That’s what CE did and it worked
-give Spartans distinctive features so not every Spartan looks the same. Halo 3 gave marines backpacks, radios, goggles and Reach made them even more distinct
-faster meleeing for Spartan AI
-faster movement + sprint ability for Spartan AI (the Spartans are terribly slow in this game. Noble Team moves faster than them!)

The Covenant Empire was disbanded in 2553, the Covies in Halo 4 are the covenant Remnant…

Not just the sprinting, though if you listen he is heaving like a cow after he sprints for 5 seconds :/, it is also his ability to easily overcome enemies. Like in the final cutscene, he gets lifted by his arm, then almost thrown off the edge. The last thing I would do if I was him is crawl all over the place.

Holy hell people. What you fight in Halo 4 is called “The Storm” no Covenant, no anything else. Just the Storm.

They are never called The Storm in the game. Ever. There are units called Storm Grunt and Storm Jackal and such, but that is not the name of the Covies as a whole.
