Me and a buddy have been doing legendary co-op…We’ve finished H1, 5 levels in H2, and H3. The game refuses to load the level Delta Halo every single time we try and load it, and neither of us really want to skip it.
Has anyone figured out a way to even get this level to start?
Well, whenever me and any of my buddies have every tried to play Halo 2. We were never able to get ANY of the missions to start. It would always crash in the loading screen.
The only way we’ve been able to get it to start, is by playing in the playlist option. Because our plan was to play through the entire campaign on heroic, we simply went into playlists, then into Halo 2, then selected Heroic campaign, and it worked the whole way through. Sometimes it would crash loading up a level, but when we tried again immediately after it would always work.
The are a couple of downsides to playing via the playlist option though. First of all, you don’t have any control over the order you do the missions in, So if you’re already up to Delta Halo, unfortunately you might have to start from the start of the campaign if you wish to complete it. I’m also pretty sure you don’t have control over the skulls either. Also, the same person has to host the whole time. It’s annoying and frustrating, but for me and my friends it was our only option.

You could try re-installing it, but that’ll take 12hours plus…
Phone xbox live, tell them MCC is not working properly (like you were promised by 343), “It’ll be exactly as how you remember it.” and you want your money back. They’ll give you a refund.

Why would I want a refund when I love playing the multiplayer and the rest of the campaigns work?
I hate to revive a 5 year old thread, but for all those looking for a fix in 2020 on PC MCC, here’s your fix. When you boot the level, and you are on the cutscene, you are going to want to watch it on the old graphics, not the anniversary graphics, otherwise the water crashes the game. Seems that water levels on halo 2 anniversary are extremely laggy. Running on the old graphics fixes it.
