This topic won’t get 343’s attention and will also be forgot after couple of hours. I agree many of the things you mentioned but this topic is just useless. IMO
=)
Basing a ranking system should never ever be based solely on wins and losses. This was proven in Halo 3 and 2. Halo Reach was way too easily exploited. Perhaps I’m on of the few, but I’m glad with the new ranking system. Perhaps it needs to be tougher so you don’t rank up as fast, but it shouldn’t be an extreme challenge either.
I two have played every halo game, starting with Halo 2 the day I turned 17, but I must say that I hated the ranking system in that, and I wasn’t happy with the ranking system in Halo 3. Reach’s was a joke which we all know. But to say that 2 and 3 were perfect or even ranking system shows only the limit of comprehension a person has mentally.
Before you ask, yes I played first Halo as well and even Halo Wars.

Sadly. He’s right. It will be forgotten by the public of Halo’s forums in a few, but like the last guy. I also agree with this. I read a thread the other day by bs angel that she said that 343i was reading our posts to improve Halo but I strongly disbelieve that. Hopefully they wont be as ignorant when they make Halo 5.
I’d like to believe they are learning from 4 since they didn’t have a beta. That plus the community backlash they’ve stirred up on their own since release.

THAT, and 343i was focusing on the interests on the “everyday/casual gamer”, unlike Bungie; focusing on their loyal fans to make the perfect game.

Lets not forget about those specializations being emailed.
i agree with all of these, i dont believe 343i didnt look at these ideas and what they added to the game and decided to go with it, stupid

Everything is useless to 343 since they care less to they community
BUT , the campaign and spartan ops, the story, the graphics, the weapons, the overall aspect of the halo universe, i love, i think its the best halo so far in that sence
for campaign, story, spartan ops, loadouts etc, its my favourite game of the series
it is just the multiplayer aspect they have really screwed the fans over with

Still waiting for mine. If my friend wouldn’t have given me the code out of the kindness of his heart, I would have sold my Halo 4. But he did, so I didn’t.

It has its place, but it should only join in players within the first minute of a match or, in objective games like CTF and Extraction, before the first point is scored.
-
No past Halo game has actually restricted party matching consistently, but a party matching system should be in place, and it should be strict.
-
I would be fine with making it visible in-game, or at least integrate Waypoint with the next game to the point where it works as an in-game app.
-
We have Throwdown, but playlist structure should be fairly all-encompassing.
As for Dominion, it’s 6v6.
Halo 4 has its good and bad points, 343I has restricted its true potential and kept things simple, i hope in the next game they take a few more risks.
P.S I enjoyed the game but needs more risks taken
Compared to other FPS shooters i have played the Join in Progress feature on Halo 4 is by far the best. Yea I will get a few bad games here and there, but for the most part I am either put on the winning team or a team what has a chance of winning. Also, in CTF if you playing to 5, being down 1-0 or 2-0 depending on the map is not that not big of a hill to climb.
The two things that bother me the most about halo 4 is sometimes you may start a game with extremely unbalanced teams. Meaning there’s 6-8 people in the lobby and the game starts with a 4-2 or 5-3. In CTF that leads to points real fast.
The other thing that bothers me is levels or game modes with vehicles that do not have enough big weapons spawns or the option in ordnance, to efficiently take them out. Granted most of the vehicles are made from cardboard which is a whole other argument, but I hate the fact that I have to pull out my plasma gun loadout to even get a chance to destroy the vehicle. Chances are not always good you will either get credited for the kill or survive the encounter.
Csr is kindof annoying…

Dude, her username is “bs angel”. The first two letters should clue you in on what 343 thinks of Halo fans.
Halo 5… No beta = no trust = not buying.
when a 343i employee publicly states that the employees at 343i believe that they are being very successful with their vision of Halo, don’t you think it is time to give up asking them to learn from their mistakes?
H4 a failure?
Excuse me while I scoff at the notion.
Scoffs at the notion.
H4 is by no means a failure but it does have elements that fail.
- Lack of previous options is a fail.
JIP saccing you with the loosing team halfway through a game is a fail.[/li]
Easily obtain progression system ranks is a fail.[/li]
Random ordnance with Personal Ordnance taking up the slack is a fail.[/li]
Quick despawning PWs is a fail.[/li]
And so on.
Overall the package succeeded.

It shouldn’t be removed, it just needs refined.

I agree

I think you should read up on CSR http://blogs.halowaypoint.com/Headlines/post/2013/04/03/The-Halo-Bulletin-4313.aspx

CTF isn’t in Objective because of how popular it is. I think you would actually piss more people off than you please by putting it in there. Dominion is a 6v6 game type if anything it should be added to BTB not Objective. (I know Objective is 6v6 now but that was a mistake. 343i needs to change it back to 5v5) Besides its fine having its own playlist, its Halo 4’s Invasion. Halo 4’s playlists are in a decent state overall I think.
