lmao see told you
Putting your child’s gamertag out in the open like that giving trolls and nasty people a buffet.
Ummm he’s 6 how the -Yoink- does he fall in love with the Halo SERIES at 6 ?
Parenting fail for letting a 6 year old go online with the ability to listen to online chat.
Please just stop! You are just going to hurt yourself with trolls!
Well in all honesty it wont make much of a difference since he does not use voice chat anyway and his account wont be tarnished based on a first time offense ban. BTW you probably should not have put first grader; your going to get so much crap for that.

gets popcorn ready, because its about to get good this is better than matchmaking lol
i can sense the hardcore Halo fans just writing in why a first grader shouldnt play go this is going to be a slaughter on the poor dad
Lol it’d be funny if his son goes on voice chat and trashtalks ppl while the Dad is not around…
of course he was banned from voicechat WHILE he doesn’t use voicechat.

That’s classic, Op. takes a handful of xPlayBoyMagicx’s popcorn
- i dont see a problem with teh kid playing halo. i started when halo came out and i was 7.
- people get voice banned all the time for nothing. if he played bad people will avoid the player or report the account for whatever reason they are in the mood for. wait it out. and a first offense doesnt mean anything. dont worry too much about it.

Dear DAD, the case says M for mature 17+ now unless your on a first grade reading level you need to…Get in a corner and think about your life.
If you have a kinect, that can detect voice. Ive heard of people getting voice banned by not knowing their kinect was on and they were playing music… consider that.
That could be one option.
BTW IMO the dad is doing nothing wrong with letting the kid play online, he took the main necessary precautions and didn’t allow him to chat OR hear in game voice chat.

can i assume you guys never played a higher rated game at a young age? freaking hypocrites…
You guys don’t have to preach to me about online gaming. (Grandpa voice:) I’ve been playing online since most of you were in diapers. Happen to work in the business so know a thing or two about it.
He’s been playing HALO since he was 2 1/2 and is very good at it. By 4 y/o he was beating 14 y/o’s in 1v1. I’ve been gaming for 30 years and I can’t beat him. He’s friends with several MLG pro gamers and knows his stuff. Anyway, irrelevant.
I do not have voice on because I’m obviously not going to allow him to hear the junk that is out there.
I also don’t care that his gamertag is out there because we accept no friend requests. He just plays.
Flame away, it’s pointless. I’m just pissed off because the system is obviously bugged and banning people arbitrarily. If it bans a 1st grader with no voice chat, it could ban you for no reason as well. shrug

Obvious troll is obvious.
Why is a first grader playing halo?
> Ummm he’s 6 how the -Yoink!- does he fall in love with the Halo SERIES at 6 ?

I started playing Halo when I was 9.
The 17 is just a suggestion of the mature AGE.
What they means by mature is that you won’t get offended by language or vulgar, or cringe at violence, nor will you mimic anything seen in game in real life situations when - inappropriate.
Taking the ESRB as the law, they simply strongly recommend you be 17+, but anyone can play it as long as they’re mature.
I find it hard to believe a 6 year old could be that mature, but maybe some parents don’t want to be sheltering their children from everything.
