You are correct, a player’s K/D ratio does not effectively determine their overall skill.
If anything, it just shows how good they are at Camo-Camping with the DMR, not how much they contribute to the game/team.
Neither K/D nor W/L are all that important.
They don’t show you if a player is good. They only demonstrate when a player is bad.
I think all that matters is my team win the game and I have fun
> I’m sick and tired of people talking about KD like it matters. It’s all about the win loss. There should be more people with mics as well as team coordination to win matches.
I think k/d and win/loss are important. However, I agree that there should be more team coordination.

Second this. I like to win and have fun.

I wish win/loss would be displayed on the service record either beside K/D, or replacing K/D entirely.

I don’t care if I loose as long as im positive. KD over win/loss for me.
Neither matter really, games are supposed to be fun. Who gives a toot about your stats anyway?

People who find fun in playing competitive, maybe?
when i have fun and laugh with no sense
i use to be first place and win almost every match i play that day in any game
when i take it very serious…bad day of matches
W/L is no more important than K/D. Not everyone plays with a team, I go into MM by myself 99% of the time. JIP which usually throws you on the losing team (especially bad at H4 launch)and there are also those who play mostly FFA.
Take regicide…I’ve lost (5-10 points) to people while going 25-5 to someone going 19-21. I have more regicide games played than all others combined and while I’m not saying that I’m good but I’m sure as hell not as bad as my W/L record indicates.
W/L means just about as much as K/D in this game
JIP throws off the W/L numbers easily. You get thrown into losing matches with no hope to win but still rack up the kills.
The stats are really not going to show you much as a whole. But if you look at a player’s individual games you can get a better idea of just how good or bad they are. That will show you if their k/d and W/L is at least legit / close to their skill.
Some people definitely care about their Kill/Death ratio, since it incites them to play more and to improve their skills.
I’m not one of those people, since I really couldn’t care less about my K/D ratio, but at least I’m open minded enough to see why others treat it as being something important.
Kd does matter. If you are going negative you are only hindering your team. Even in an objective game, the team that out slays the other team wins a high percentage of the games.
That being said, that is only true for a team that actually works together. Winning those 1v1 battles are huge.
But since this game is so casual and spawns power weapons at your feet along with giving you game breaking things like invis and sprint on spawn kd means nothing.
Maybe if it only showed kd for the playlist you were searching in? So when I see a 5kd kid in btb I know he’s a stat Padder while when I search throwdown and see a .5kder I know I have to put on my try hard hat to carry.
Orrrrrrr we could just get in game ranks along with a social playlist hopper.
Kd isnt everything, but you should have at least 1 kd to be considered a good player. After that it dosnt matter that much. You could be a teamplayer, getting a lot of assists, or a objective player. But your kd should at least be 1
K/D isn’t important in Objective yes. My CTF K/D is 0.85 and I think that’s reasonable for someone who runs flags. My overall K/D is positive though.
