I think it would be best to eliminate the Mongoose Destroyer commendation from the Vehicle list.
The Mongoose is the only vehicle besides the Warthog in the game that exposes the entire player and passenger to harm. When attacking an occupying Mongoose, you are more likely to kill the driver than to destroy the vehicle. Quite often, the driver does die before the Mongoose itself goes up into flames.
Or there could be fun playlists added, maybe rotational weekend playlists, with something like rockethog race on mongooses. Then you could get the commendation there. And they could also add fun things like fiesta and action sack and stuff
I think they should just severely reduce the number of Mongooses needed for the commendation. Maybe 10 altogether to master it?
I often get to play BTB on Ragnarok driving the Mantis, and I was SOOO happy to see the other team trying to use the mongoose… only to kill them and watch the mongoose flip away - flaming/beeping, but not destroyed…
I have this at 2/5 already.
Yeah it’s a pain to get, especially when the driver and or passenger dies before to the Mongoose, but it’s not impossible. I had so many Mongeese kills stolen because the RL I fired them hit the driver killing them first and not the Mongoose itself.
Seems like a great excuse to bring back rocket race. Action sack 343i? 
Yeah, pretty much the only reliable way to kill them is with the Splaser. I’m honestly really surprised no one uses the Mongoose. In Halo 3 and Reach there was always that one guy on your team.

Except race is not coded into the game or at least not available to us at the moment.
I use the mongoose but it needs 2 really. Snapshot a beam or sniper rifle whilst the passenger is great fun.
I decided to just use JIP as a way to get this. If I get JiP I just wait around the mongoose. Get on, your dead
Spartan Laser + aim at the Mongoose = win…
If the Laser hits the mongoose more than the driver then the mongoose explodes and the driver dies horribly 
I lasered a mongoose once, it lived. A few minutes later I blasted a full one with a rocket, didn’t explode. It’s invincible!

Thats happened to me too, i wonder if mongooses have gotten stronger in Halo 4 or the power weapons are getting weaker.
Mongoose has the second highest hit points among vehicles, only second to the Scorpion. That is insane. Its almost impossible to kill.

It should have the least amount of hit points. If not equal to the amount of the Ghost.
I’d be more worried about the thousands of XP you won’t get by the time you reach SR 130; there’s a lot of it.
As of now, this commendation is near impossible to complete.
But once CTF is in BTB, you’ll get it quite easily playing on Ragnarok.
I have 3 done so far. One time I was in the Banshee and I saw someone on a Mongoose. I was like, “Yes! Yes! Yes!” then I blew the mongoose and him up. There is an easy way to get it, but it requires boosting.
Also, a few good tips for getting the commendation:

Here’s one trick I saw on YouTube once.
It’s a little lengthy, so pay attention.
It’ll get aggravating at times, especially when enemies decide to kill you rather than jack your Mongoose, or if the enemy jumps off the Mongoose before you have time to kill him, or if you’re killed by other players after having your shields dropped from being kicked in the face while being jacked.
