The rest, which are listed below, will gradually be made available in the months following launch. We will be keeping a close watch on player participation post-launch and will roll out the additional six Specializations when the player base reaches certain milestones. Purchasers of the Limited Edition and pre-orders in certain territories have launch day access to the remaining six Specializations – although you still need to complete the initial 50 Ranks before you can enlist in one.
• Pioneer: PR-1 to PR-10
• Pathfinder: PT-1 to PT-10
• Engineer: EN-1 to EN-10
• Stalker: SK-1 to SK-10
• Rogue: RG-1 to RG-10
• Tracker: TK-1 to TK-10
This really is a bad idea for 343 to base on player base of reaching certain milestones. So those of us who get standard addition will really have to wait on the casuals to get to a certain point to get the rest of the specializations?
It should be based on finishing the first 2 specializations then you would get a third then fourth and until you get the last 1.
Trust me, you won’t have to wait that long for these milestones to be reached. 343i knows what they’re doing, they’ll make sure the frequency of unlocking these features are often enough to keep you playing and eager but not over waiting. That’s the whole point of this system.
It’ll be fine. You have to reach SR 50 and I doubt it’ll be done extremely quickly. Besides, there will be plenty of stuff to occupy you should you reach it.
On the subject of LE having access to all specializations after reaching 50. Heck yes! Knew it already but I’m glad that this little nugget shows the value of LE a little more. LE was just taking hits as of late
I am fine with LE being able to choose any of them what I don’t like is the rest of us only get it when 343 feels like enough people get to a certain point it would be one thing if it was a week and the rest of them show up but they said months.
Idk, this just brings back bad memories of being stuck at lt. Colonel for months after reach came out before they lifted the cap. And specializations are way cooler than just a higher rank and the ability to buy a few more armory items.
considering early specialisation access was being given out as a pre-order bonus at some stores and no longer exclusive to the LE its not really that big of a deal

Hmm well hosed a little bit it still won’t be the majority population that gets the choice of all specializations after reaching 50. Staying positive B)

I have not seen anywhere that has given out early specializations as a pre order bonus, got any links to stores?

Yeah man, I’ve got the feeling SR-70 (50 + the first two available specializations.) Will be rank cap, IF they decide to put a cap on it.

If I’m not mistaken, Bungie had a rank cap on Lt. Colonel. It’s not that big of a deal, anyways. I’m pretty sure it’s to also keep those players who do nothing but sit in front of the telly literally all day and end up getting very sick.
