This is the only gameplay mechanic that I haven’t liked since launch. whenever you jump and melee there is a delay before you hit your opponent which puts you at a disadvantage. I don’t see this mentioned enough in my opinion. I don’t know if this is because ground pound or not, but I do like ground pound as a whole. I feel like if they should try to fix this in halo 5, but if they can’t, at the very least please find a solution for halo 6. Anyone else annoyed by this problem?
I’d have liked Ground Pound better if it was triggered by something different, like performing a melee attack while in smart-scope, or double-tap and hold the melee button, instead of the current tap-and-hold system.

Elite controller… Problem solved.
It’s because of ground pound.
It’s incredibly annoying.
It’ll be because of ground pound, the delay is probably to prevent you from meleeing(?) every time you go to do one. No idea how they would fix that.

That’s what I figured. There has to be a way to make it a different button or combo of buttons though. I really don’t want them to completely remove ground pound though

I agree, but they can’t design controls around the elite controller because not everyone has it. The best thing to do would probably be to have an option in settings to put ground pound on a different button than melee if you have the elite controller.

This is also true… I kinda wish they did like a dual input command for it… hold both bumpers, aim, and release.
Recon player FYI…
They could take it of the melee and put it on your weapon switch.
