It looks awful. The cartoony, plastic look of the game has to be changed. The entire art style has to be redone. The environments should look realistic and the character models should look more lifelike. The gun models should be more hefty and gritty. Gameplay looked great, no complaints there but the overall look of the game is way off. Honestly it looks like cheap, copy paste, recycled, live service garbage. Add to that no raytracing or multiplayer at launch and this is going to be a disaster that the franchise will never recover from. Halo has been fading for a decade, this game will be its death if it ships looking like that and lacking key next gen features.

This is the thing, they could have had made the classic H1 - H3 style look realistic like the Halo 2 anniversary cutscenes but nooooo I think 343 mistook classic for having 360p textures with the same babyish style as fortnite.

Just wait till you all see more of the game, before you go crazy like this. And if it is unsatisfactory and gives you seizures, then seriously? Just dont buy it?
8 minutes aint much to judge on, because its not even how it looks CURRENTLY behind the doors at 343. The demo was old, changes are coming. Saddle up buttercup.

I’m coming around to that argument about the visual style. I was watching some Half Life Alyx gameplay last night and the visual style has a somewhat cartoon like style as well, but it looks amazing. So it’s not just the cartoon like style of the game that isn’t sitting right with me entirely. The demo we saw looked really flat and lifeless and I can’t seem to distinguish between what is stylized and what is just rough looking and bad.
There’s still time I suppose to refine the visuals and I certainly hope they do so. But you’re 100% right about the gameplay, it looks fantastic and I can’t wait to play it.
