Delay Resulting with Beta/Flighting?

Hello,

I’m sure most of you all here know about the delay that happened yesterday which is a big bummer for us. With more time added to Halo Infinite do you guys think we might get a beta or more open flighting sessions? I think it’d be awesome if so!

I hope so but it depends on how long the delay is.

They should open flighting. Allow us to give feedback and then make adjustments based on that feedback.

I agree hopefully we get a word on how long the delay may be.

Here come the righteous “Monitors”

“GUyS YoU ne3Ed 2 TeMpEr Ur EXpECtaySHUNS”

Which is sad that some people are actually advocating that we should bring our expectations to a lower place than what was ALREADY said to be expected of by 343 themselves.

But I guess we should just blame the pandemic for a game that’s been in development for 5 now 6 years right? LOL

Well that came out of nowhere.

What has this to do with anything in this Thread?

I think an Open-Beta would be the best as it would get the most amount of feedback, however, we don’t know how long the delay is, might be Q1 2021 might be Summer, after E3 (Or whatever is taking place). I’m also curious what this delay means for the Multiplayer “Demo” they seemed to had planned to show us sometime later this year. Still happening or “cancelled”? (Maybe the Delay only affects to some degree the Solo part while the Multiplayer is still “on track”)

It would be nice to get something, but keep in mind that the extra time will most likely be used to polish up the game, so I don’t think the delay gives us any better chances of getting flighting/beta events.

it’s obvious that they are deleting the entire game and starting over :joy:… then introducing all illi ideas… then we get illi game and that’s all that needs to be said… mic :droplet:

this. Doing beta/flights will just mean more of a delay.

I am hoping for a beta or flight. Now that Infinite has been delayed, it would only make since to give us a chance to play it before release.

I hope we get a flight, but I also hope they dump Xbox One support. So in November when the Series X launches they should drop Halo Infinite multiplayer only on Series X via flighting or as a Beta.

I don’t want the beginning of the next 10 years of Halo to be held back by the Xbox One’s CPU. That limits AI, object count, physics, etc.

Didnt that happen to destiny?

Here’s hoping. It is not even a matter of wanting to play it early, I just want a smooth launch.

I’ve been seeing that get tossed around that people want Xbox and 343 to just make Halo on Series X now. I honestly think they should keep it on track unless it’s coming out late 2021 on Halo’s actual anniversary since it would be either just shy or on Series X one year mark but that’s just me. What do y’all think?

It will not last 10 years if it has to remain playable on OG Xbox One hardware that is already 13 years old. Nor will it be able to compete with game releases throughout those 10 years.

I think we’ll for sure get one now. I don’t see why we wouldn’t. The only reason we possibly not going to get one was because time constraints, now that they’ve been given more time we should get one.

I hope it’s an open beta and not just selected people for flighting. Flighting would be fine if the game were on schedule but due to the delays I think it would be fair for all Halo players that are disappointed in the delay, to get to play it.

maybe a flight will come around the time the game was originally set to release.
