After watching the new Halo Infinite Development Update video, post Technical Preview, I have a few questions about the delay of both Forge and Co-op Campaign. First and foremost, I’m not writing this to complain. I completely understand what the state of the world is with COVID and how tough game development can be. Delaying certain features for a live service game that has yet to release isn’t the make it or break its for a game, because like it was mention in the video, it can just be released later while still being able to finally put the game into players hands that all of us and 343 have been wanting to do. However, something has crossed my mind. Joseph Staten has said that the team is now in the Shutdown Phase, fixing bugs and polishing. The thing is though, this is the same reason the game was delayed for a year. To be polished because it wasn’t truly ready. My question is why has the team been so focused on polishing, and mostly bug fixing, when Forge and Co-op Campaign are still not complete? Going back to the live service thing, all those bugs and small little new features could have waited for post launch so that the game will be able to ship with what some people consider to be core features of Halo. Me personally, I’m a huge forger and can’t wait to get my hands on it. But if something isn’t ready, then it’s not ready. But back to what I was saying, how come these haven’t already been addressed before the team started to focus so heavily on bugs and polishing? Just some food for thought…

After watching the new video from the Halo Infinite Development Update, I can understand from what Joseph Staten is saying in the video. He wants to be sure that the upcoming Halo Infinite need to have the best quality and the best experience especially when it comes to the gameplay.
I have already mentioned this. And I will say it again. I am very happy that Joseph Staten, Bonnie Ross and their team at 343 Industries are currently focusing on the Single Player Campaign levels and the Multiplayer levels in Halo Infinite. That is the most important thing to do first.
At the same time, I am also very happy that they are not releasing the Co-op Campaign levels and Forge immediately on Halo Infinite launch. Personally I don’t want to see the Halo Infinite Co-op Campaign levels and Forge that are halfway finished especially when it comes to bugs and glitches.

If they had to release now, which I don’t think they do, I’m also really happy they focused on completing solo Campaign and multiplayer. But I don’t want to see a halfway finished game in general
Imagine locking content because of your “gaas” politics. These things are ready just delayed so every season they can claim theres “new stuff”.
6 years lol and still peoples believe stuff “isnt ready”
Gamepass industry.

I am hoping that Joseph Staten, Bonnie Ross and their team at 343 Industries will do the best they can to make Halo Infinite the best quality and the best experience especially when it comes to the gameplay in the Halo Infinite campaign levels. Hopefully they will reveal another gameplay footage from the new Halo video game.

I know they will. They’ve done a bang up job so far. I just want them to have more time, cause I feel like they deserve it

This. Big time.
Such a bummer that coop campaign is delayed. That was the first thing I wanted to play with my buddies online once the game is out…
