Delay Campaign

Coop players shouldn’t be forced to go without internet or contact with society for several months to play without spoilers.

Nah, as long as it eventually comes, coop at launch is not that big of a deal.

This might sound like a wild idea but you can play the Campaign solo…
I usually play the first time Legendary with the buddy. But looks like that’s not a option for Infinite at launch, which is fine. I’ll just play solo, you’re able to do that too.

If you want to wait for Co Op for your first play through, that’s fine but no one is forcing you to avoid society or the internet to avoid spoilers. If you don’t want it spoiled you have the option to play it, you’re the only person holding yourself back.

The plans change, they always do.

This one hit me hard. Trying to avoid story spoilers for 3 months because there is no coop at launch will be frustrating…

and stick it to all the solo players in the meantime? No thanks

Why would I want my first Halo infinite experience to be solo? Co-op is a part of campaign, campaign isn’t ready.

The core experience that is Campaign is ready. Being able to play it co op is a different discussion, I imagine that MCC cross play campaign problems are probably similar to Halo Infinite too - does that mean Halo MCC’s campaigns aren’t ready either? Should they have delayed the PC launch until they had full cords play available? No. Same thing here.

If you don’t want to play Solo, that’s fine wait to play it Co Op but expect people to talk about Campaign. No one is going to walk on eggshells for 3 months just so you don’t see spoilers.

I think you’ll have to live under a rock for 3 months then otherwise like every other normal person they’ll go through the campaign and wait for the coop to drop in the 3 months time.

Its clear that 343 is struggling to optimise co-op for last gen consoles. Really they should just delay co-op, and perhaps Forge, for last gen consoles and let those with the more appropriate hardware enjoy the full release. Perhaps delay the release of the game for last gen consoles entirely if they need more time to optimise it. This was the argument with Cyberpunk’s development for last gen consoles and it is a sound proposal. Give the devs the time they need while allowing those with the right hardware to enjoy the game.

Halo campaign is simply not a ready-to-ship experience until coop is ready.

That is the end of the entire conversation when it comes to this franchise. A line needs to be drawn somewhere, and that’s the line.

MCC shipped so unfinished it was just busted. 5 shipped unfinished enough that it was considered extremely unacceptable. And Infinite is about to ship more unfinished than 5. If you suddenly think this is acceptable now, when 6 years ago you didn’t, there’s something wrong with you.

To some people, it is

Exactly. They need more time

Playing Halo is like going to the movie theater; for a lot of people it’s about going on adventure with friends.

The people saying this act like their friends are going to immediately start spoiling everything the moment they see each other. Who even does that? If we’re talking about online spoilers, they’re literally already there. I didn’t even know there was a leak until I checked out HaloFollower’s channel who of course proceeded to rant about it. You really would have to go out of your way to see one, at this point. Social media is complicated, but there are ways to filter posts that contain spoilers. I have never seen anyone I follow on social media blatantly spoil any game and that is by making no effort to filter anything at all. This “concern” is overblown to the point it’s nauseating.

Don’t get people started on how not ready MCC was and is. It still doesn’t have gamebroswer outside of reach.

It’s very much a relevant point, we can’t just cherry pick what’s important and not because we’re afraid of upsetting someone over a game.
I imagine the same issues from MCC’s lack of cross play campaign & PC split screen are some of the same issues happening in Infinite.
As online posts have suggested a open world Halo game for co op is much easier said than done. There’s a reason we don’t see many semi linear open world co op campaigns in gaming at all, Halo Infinite is breaking the mould a bit here.

Besides CE & Halo 3 are coming in Season 8, patience is key.

Over 136K people have said we should delay in these two polls done by Mint Blitz and Arrash Tv, both Halo YouTubers. 70% said Yes in both polls.
